This beer is absolutely perfect for a wet, windy, and cold Sunday morning! @Danmullens1, if you have one with you up in Door County, I suggest drinking it on the porch. Thank you for supplying me with this! @scream, Dan gave me two of these for you. I may have to drink them, especially if this weather stays the same.

Slept in a bit after last night’s disappointing finish to what had been a fairly good Gator game...sulking in my cups with Revolution’s “Code Switch” a Belgian style strong dark ale:

10/10/18. 14.5% 18 IBUs. Aged in TN whiskey, then KY bourbon barrels. And blackberries, lots of blackberries added...working on NBS notes before I succumb to the morning’s jolt of alcohol...Cheers!

Speciation / City Built – Urbanization. Outstanding wild ale as expected. Lasting fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, melon, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, peppercorn, herbal, floral, and grassy hops; with some cracker, white bready malts; lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, and white wine vinegar. Light-moderate lactic tartness, peppery yeast spiciness, and herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts, some lactic acid/sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/bitter/spicy and carbonated dryness; no pucker/astringency. Refreshingly drinkable, 5.2%. Mildly lactic. Fantastic well rounded fruity/funky Brett/Bacteria?saison complexity and balanced earthy hop presence; with a nice solid pils malt/oat backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Great balance of wild ale and Pilsner style notes. Love it. Will get some more cans, they had it in 750 ml last year.

Nowhere in Particular Batch #035. Fantastic Milkshake DIPA. Nice fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy strawberry, tangerine, orange juice, fruit skin/seed, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops, fruit tang/acids, and slight resins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tart/tangy dryness; no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 9%. Feels like Citra, Mosaic. Very juicy/vibrant hops/fruit, with light dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced lactose, and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Loved it. Spot on stuff.

@Danmullens1 spoils me. He is a premier BA. His proximity to Illinois is quite helpful. It saves me a 3-hour trip to get amazing Illinois beers, like this one.

Starting the day with some bananas for breakfast! I almost never can pick up on that aroma for some reason, but with this one it is solid. A very nice brew.
