Trillium DDH Pittsburgh Street
Hopped with Enigma. This is my first experience with Enigma hops. Very unusual. Many of the same aspects of Nelson (white grape, cilantro, unripe passionfruit), as well as the green qualities of Mosaic, and a bit of Ekuanot. Lots of unripe melon. t's this super unripe/green herbaceous quality that doesn't exist in any other hop varietal. Very unique.

Hope everyone had a good Monday. Was a pretty slow day, tomorrow should be faster. Have a big presentation to throw together in the morning.

Vivant Harvest Raspberry Peach. This was outstanding. Great fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big fairly tart/tangy peaches, raspberries, fruit skin/seeds/pits, plum, pear, apricot, strawberry, lemon, lime, orange, melon, red apple, red grape/wine, peppercorn, oak, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light toasted malts; light leathery/musty Brett funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and fruit tang/tannins. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/tangy dryness; no pucker/astringent. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.8%. This is a blend of saison and foeder sour with fruit. Fantastic balance of juicy fruit, Brett/Bacteria/Saison yeast complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it, great summer refresher. Would buy another 4 pack.

Hahahahaha. Yeah, the vets sounded like they were playing hockey with Huevos while trying to examine him/give him shots/etc., firing him back into play for more action. But when all that’s over, he loves them all and enjoys the pets. Crazy mutts, man.

Thanks Dave! I like to keep some of the "about" 6 for $10 like VooDoo, Bliss, Jai, Official on hand to mix in with the King Sue, Sip, Heady, Crushers, Pseudo's, makes them last longer.

 

Back I n Pittsburgh for work, at an Outback Steakhouse, this is Sam Octoberfest. It’s still outstanding, IMHO. Just wish they would serve it warmer - when it first arrives, the temperature is approximately absolute zero.
