Treehouse All that is and all that will ever be. So much flavor in a low ABV stout. I’m a fan.

Benchtop Kracken Theory TIPA (Collab w Reaver Beach)
HaHa my favorite way to survive family events.
It’s Oktoberfest Sunday
Light golden yellow color with good white cap and lacing.
Aroma of fresh yeast rolls with floral, spicy hops.
Flavor starts with a firm hop presence that is reined back just short of bitterness. Very solid hop backbone fleshed out by bready malt that rounds things off nicely. The grain has depth and the hops have brightness. Simple flavors presented with complexity, balance and sophistication.
If the Lager world is a base of gravel this is a gold nugget that shines out.
Had to get some Riesling for my wife, found a single of this 4Noses Mosaic Whimsy. Solid, bought it.
Cheers...time to chill a bit (need some ambient music for the Bears game).
At Dry Dock Brewing in Aurora, the wife is having the Grapefruit DIPA and I am enjoying the Chocolate Peanut Butter BA Imperial Stout

@benzodrums, if they ever ship this within 10-14 days, text me and I'll buy a plane ticket. This might not be the OG, but there are shades of it, and I'm not even trying to be polite. I'm being honest. I am truly thankful. The fresher batch made all the difference. Let's get LARRRGE!!!

The taste and mouthfeel comes across more rounded and rich, sweet (but not cloyingly so), with a fine overall balance.
Black as coal body; dense, thick, rocky head. Roasted, slightly charred grain aroma; burnt toast; coffee grounds. Bitter and sweet flavor; bitter chocolate; coffee grounds. Heavy mouthfeel; slick and smooth; a bit harsh on the palate with a slight stingy quality.
A good stout overall though somewhat biting and harsh. No noticeable presence of licorice although the coffee quality comes through strongly.
It’s a surprise baby shower for my sister in law. Only reason I’m here is because we used a bunch of birthdays (including mine) to get the expecting parents here. At least I’ll share a beer I’ve been saving for a while with the father to be later.
Yet another new-to-me from my brother who spent a couple days in Michigan back in September and I picked up in NJ this past week.
12 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy golden body with some lacing. Nose is very, very subdued with very slight citrus and even slighter pine. Taste brings out a bit more with flavors of citrus and pine, finishing crisp and fairly dry. Nice feel and overall, a good sessionable APA from SE MI. Cheers!
C&P from NBS.
This feels like a bit of a cross between a NEIPA and a WCIPA and while it doesn't quite find its center, it's still a rather enjoyable beer.
I found a lonely bottle of 2018 Bigfoot on the shelf in my basement. It's held up well. A bit sweeter than I remember, but, overall, still pretty good.
One of the best cartoons ever. My youngest and I watched every episode.
Franconia Chicken Dance. Smooth sweet taste.
Starting off with another gem from Fox Farm...this one's Daylily...Cheers, BA!
We were in the middle of season 4 on the Disney Now App when they pulled it in anticipation of their new streaming service. Glad we’re already subscribed to the new one, because between P&F and the entire run of The Simpsons, I have two of my favorite cartoons in the same place.
The Sands. Hop Butcher.
Like the glass says Prost!
My Low Country incursion is wrapping up with a night in West Ashley
Charles Towne Fermentory Sungazer with Galaxy
They are closing at 6 for a private party so I need to get busy.
3F cuvée Armand and Gaston 10/12/2015. God cheese too!
Hope everyone had a good day so far. I am on track for a personal record this year. Already hit 1550 reviews since the turn of the year. Had some friends over since 5 AM chilling and chatting about random ass stuff. I am still doing well. They went to get some ingredients to make some "happy" fruity pebble marshmallow crispy treats. They are going to use my cooking appliances. I tried to learn some Ride The Lightning riffs on my seven string. Thing is a full half step out of tune and it sounds terrible. I got the rhythms down though. NEED SOME NEW STRINGS. Floating trem setup is a bitch, so never done it before.
Abomination Drawing a Blank. Fantastic NETIPA! Lasting fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge pineapple, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine hops; with wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/silky/bready malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering resin dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth/soft, not aggressive, mild increasing warmth of 11.1% after the finish. Fantastic Galaxy, Citra, and Mandarina Bavaria profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Loved it! 4.23
These ones, I was looking at the tabs.
First CBS of the season, and it didn’t disappoint!

Yet another Michigan beer via my brother.
12 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a bright golden-copper body with sticky lacing. Nose of pine and citrus. Taste mirrors nose with the pine taking over right through the finish of pine bitterness. Nice feel and overall, a definite taste bud scraper and would have another. Cheers to this Michigan brewery on a solid IPA and my first ever offering from them!
C&P from NBS.
