Enough whining! Today was Mrs. Z’s birthday and the prearranged flowers in the room are spectacular and she was double surprised when presents/cards magically appeared from the luggage! All is great.

Night cap is my last French beer from trade with @Shanex - la Goudale’s “Ambree”:



Amber pour with white mixed bubbles/foam; excellent clarity; good cap retention and solid ring; moderately heavy lacing. Caramel malt with a faint floral hop nose. Taste is sweet caramel malt, lite floral hops; toasted brown bread as liquid warms; slightly phenolic; some spice/coriander on the back end. Medium lite body, moderate carbonation; no warmth from 7.2%. Overall, malty sweet with some spice notes; an enjoyable Biere de Garde.

Decided to rent a room in an apartment for a week while I'm here in coastal MS. With a couple other people in the apartment. It's weird, I'm not used to sharing small spaces.

The scenery is beautiful over here, but...I wasn't expecting to feel unsafe/uneasy. Perhaps it's just this area. Maybe it's nerves but I need to try renting a suite after this, as well, just so I don't leave the entire area with a bad taste in my mouth.

I am having an Envie from Parish and it is tasting amazing again, 12/17/19 bottle date



Had it on tap twice before I went after a six pack. This is just an absolutely insane deal for what it goes for. And if I can find more within a month or so I'll buy it. No questions asked. Maybe a case. I gave this beer a 4.5 out of 5. It's incredible and juicy and clean. I'd drink it all day long. Cheers

@vabeerguy I can empathize, I'm on a 3 month roll (heart / shoulder twice / knee)...hang in there, that's all we can do. My best to you.

 

I’m a professional eater, I love to cook. I only have 6 or 7 beers a week .
