The big payoff for waiting on the line on Garnet. More subtle, but high quality. Like this:

    Always loved the BBC Proms.

[IMG] This is nice, but I admit I had higher hopes and it is still better than a 4, but I wanted to be blown away. 5 years ago it may have, but so many awesome Stouts these days.

Pale, straw yellow body, crystal clear; plenty of fine carbonation; thick and sticky frothy white head. Nice floral and fruity aroma interspersed with some notes of malt sweetness. Excellent biscuit malt backbone speckled with some sweet white wine elements; a bit herbal; low-key hop bitterness initially, builds in intensity towards the finish. Medium body; semi-sweet mouthfeel but with a touch of dryness at the finish.

This beer does a respectable job in representing the kölsch style. It has an ale-like feel to it along with a herbal, vinous taste profile. Nicely balanced and reasonably complex.

Dude, I almost filled a growler with this brew today but then I came to my senses. Just fucking with you. I was gonna go to the growler place which had it then decided to go to Veil instead. I got my daily leg exercise from having to stand in the beer line for about 30 minutes.

To be fair you're right to be cautious with NB some of their IPA variants were strictly green onion and white pepper with a splash of citrus.I can't remember which one it was I shit on.

This is pretty good - sorta a cross between super hazy and old school IPA’s. There’s a tropical thing going on that is very enjoyable, IMHO.

Great Divide Chocolate Cherry Yeti Imperial Stout, 9.5% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a 3+ finger brown head. Nose is cherry and cocoa. Taste is roast malt, chocolate, and cherry, and is equal parts sweet, tart, and bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent. The cherry came off a bit medicinal vs. natural.
