Salmon with sweet potato fries. No green stuff. Another Pinkmiata. An IPA brewed by Veil.
I see you and raise you cousin..
When’s the wife going to un-hide the bourbon? Or are you abstaining for your back’s sake?
& Yes, I will adopt; on the grounds of, I’m assuming I can claim you as a tax credit plus have you do my taxes. So it’s a win win for me.
And they charge a premium for those cans too. They already got called out on miscalculating the ABV on their beers.
Tried to watch some of the debate, those folks weren't respecting the debate rules & talking all over each other, now I am getting a headache. Beer take me away; came back with a decent box of brews from mostly the Sooner state & a clean bill of health for my choppers. I'll take it
American Solera West Coast Haze IPA
That green stuff just gives me gas...
Dude, that Blind Pig is off the charts. I would give up Veil IPAs if I had a steady of supply of it. It goes without saying Bruce and whiskey makes life worth living. Not sure if you are a west coast or east coast IPA fan. I want to do Richmond justice by sending you some brews you find outrageous.
No picture tonight, but drinking Saint Arnold 5 O'clock Pils, and about to watch the PBS documentary Birth of the Cool. I saw the soundtrack listing, and it was pretty by the books, so not sure if this will be particularly revolutionary for me, but should still be interesting.
I'm a west coast / traditional English IPA fan.
I generally avoid NEIPAs and hazies, but there are some good ones out there...
I can get this. But this page, once you get knee, deeeeeep, and you get this BG, it's fun to try stuff from across this rock.
I. Love. This. Beer.
Right NOW, I am having my first beerthday beer of the day. I put in a full day in the classroom & was really beat upon CANming home, so I laid down for a recharge of the batteries. Upon awakening, I could not wait to try:
How old am I? Today's soundtrack:
Vista Brewing (Driftwood, TX) Golden Grove wild ale - bright flavors but not my favorite beers from this brewery.
A little stout to end the day thanks to @Scottsbeer ! This was way better than expected and I got a “Where did you get that at” from a Michigan boy on Untappd lol!!
Life is great here. Did squats, deadlifts, burpees, and rowing today. Good workout. Get back at it, Mike!
+1 to that ... and Krampus. A personal holiday favorite they stopped brewing. That particular beer put the "snarkiness" back into Lagers. (So good!!)
Now this one, a Hazy DIPA is really in my wheelhouse....
I know you like Tequila. I got turned on to Herradura Ultra. Smooth with a hint of vanilla. Gitya some.
This combines some of the worst qualities of a DIPA to me, being way too sweet and boozy, with the floral hops and grainy malts also being too distinct for my personal taste and the tropical/citrus notes having that certain overripe quality to them remiscent of bubble gum that I quite dislike.
Beer o clock!
I know I’m decidedly in the minority with this opinion...but I like this more than both Sues.
And Shiner Bock.
When I worked at a wholesale cabinet & appliance dealer, Cost +10% (to cover freight & [our] labor of unloading, putting away, etc) was the employee discount*. I heard of that from a local auto parts distributor too. I was given the impression that that was standard. That's long gone, as shipping is generally a lot more now, & (as far as I hear) companies , esp national chains, try to make every last $, even off the employees.
* Came in handy when I bought my parents a new washer, when theirs crapped out, & when I needed a new microwave. Saved about $300, & $60 , respectively, (on 1-step-from-top-of-the-line products), in late 80s $.
How bout...... try to have the 29th beer we reviewed or rated, or the 29th most recent? Or your 29th ranked?
Guessing it'd be more enjoyable than Bud? For me , anyway .
My 29th is Far Star Saison , from (local brewery)Galaxy, so a possibility , & 29th most recent is Bodington's Pub Ale. 29th best BA score is Psuedo Sue, so also a possibility, though not a certainty.
Last one of these, better than the first, & sharing it with my neighbor/sister-in-law . Her first NEIPA, & is giving it a big .
Phase Three Pressed Coffee and Hazelnut
How do you guys drink lite beers, Hamm's Pabst etc. ? I don't get it - no flavor elements.
Actually started today. Separated my shoulder 2 months ago. About 95% back. Just got to be careful with certain exercises like upright rows (nobody should do these), benches (I do not do them anyway but if you do try a more narrow grip and do not go lower than chest height your AC joint will appreciate it), and certain overheaded presses. Try Arnold dumbbell presses. Your shoulders will be happy.
Having said all that, good beer and bourbon will cure all that ails you. Do not work too hard tomorrow my friend.
Pipeworks NvU vs the Cryo
Hamms + Stoly = deer stew easy
Tired Hands Oblivex. Very tasty with well hidden booziness....or maybe I'm just getting used to the booziness in my DIPAs.
Can art is a bit creepy.
some Brews art is something... I liked
Same reason you drink Voodoo uncle, just no reason to blast folks for their flavor.
My exercise consists of walking up or down a flight of stairs and chasing beer etc.
Not blasting, just asking/trying to understand. Sorry if I offended.
Two for Tuesday
Finishing the final cans of my Boulevard and Modern Times, light pepper noted, still a solid pour.
Three Floyd's Yum-Yum literally and figuratively.
You're right man. MT has been cramming the heavy white pepper in the hop mix. No lie.
