This is definitely the best mint chocolate beer I have ever had. Expensive, but one whiff and I was already impressed.

99.8% of the beers I drink are in cans. I guess I'll miss the Head Hunter bottles because that's how it was introduced to me. Cheers.

Perhaps a bit too sweet and malty for my personal taste, but a pretty decent Pale Ale at the end of the day.

Do you find these APA/IPAs are impacting the consumption of more traditional Lagers

I do in this crib. There's Occidental out of Portland, Or. That focus strictly do Central/Eastern European offerings that still had a big marketshare before the IPA explosion, when Weihenstephan was still a wow.

I'm gonna get tanked tonight to celebrate the end of an era. Quo vadis, Beer Advocate?

This is quite a nice modern interpretation of an old school IPA that has those bitter, resinous hops and a caramel malt backbone to it, but also brings some rather diverse fruity citrus and tropical hops to the table.

I think I have reviewed over 150 Veil brews. I do noit recall, and I am too lazy to research, if any were red ales. The smell led me to believe I would not like it. The taste, however is much better than expected. The beer can compete with other Virginia red ales I have had.

Hey, @jvgoor3786 the can design is telling. A barbell loaded and a guy sitting. Could be me thinking I cannot do this anymore. Those days are gone. How are you and family doing by the way?

Virginia sent me a Triple Crossing I left in the freezer overnight. Peach and pineapple cleaning up the explosion the next morning.
