Quite a nice, understated Porter that makes great, subtle use of its additives, which all shine through without becoming too overbearing and leaving enough room for the roasted malt and herbal hops to stand on their own as well.

Great theme day idea! The Virtual Bar really needs one.

I like the announcement you posted and it’s probably already established in the WBAYDN BA brains. A daily reminder with the “Ditties and Beer” (fantastic title) poster and a vinyl post with your beer, and I think they will show up BIG TIME on Saturday the 11th!

It was sad to open it. The last of an awesome box you sent.

The Vertigo you sent earlier was indeed really good.

Another, after checking on the flank steak that's been marinating. Odell IPA. - Shit is solid, years after I first had it (15 years ago?), and this batch is only 2 weeks old, nice. Kinda our version of Two Hearted on the Front Range. Solid malt backbone, see-through, good but not crushing hops. So balanced, and almost too smooth. My last, switching over to Pedroncelli Zinfandel for the later dinner -- I think @vabeerguy would approve - my wife's not a beer-hound.
    Cheers, see you tomorrow...

I've decided to make it "Saison Long Weekend" vs. a single day. Allagash knows what they are doing. Lucky that they distribute fully to CT, and that I pass by (and stop in) their brewery at least twice a year. Love this beer. x-posted in NBT.

Incredible IPA as always, one of my main classic favorites. Lasting thick head retention/lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins/rinds. Fairly crisp/drying, and extremely drinkable; never astringent. Never gets old, always fantastic. I will always love classic C hopped beers, even with all of the new hop varieties around. Awesome vibrant/juicy, and fairly dank/earthy Centennial hops; great balancing bready Munich malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Been keeping it around more often recently.

Energy City Bistro Crumble: Peach & Apricot Berliner (cinnamon, brown sugar, peach/apricot). Peach cobbler in a glass. Slight tartness from the berliner and apricot keeps this one in check so it doesn't get overly sweet. I dig Energy City's IPA's and stouts, but their fruit beers stand out to me. Cheers!

For @vabeerguy - not sure if it's cheap, but it's a 2017 Pedroncelli Mother Clones Zinfandel.
I was a wine guy for close to 2 decades before coming back to beer, nice to go back once in a while to the vinous side of things. This is deeply forest-floor fruity, with a serious woodsy-oak note on the nose and palate - a little sweet and big, but hard to keep the ripeness down in Cali and for this grape.
Cheers all - keep it real, keep it hoppy.

I put that in because my garage was always in danger of flooding. Check that grade out on the driveway. When we get heavy rain it flows down like a river. Gets clogged really easily from street debris. Which its totally clogged now.....on my to do list:grimacing:

I am a big fan of Cabernet Sauvignon. Actually any red. Wife does not drink beer but likes her Chardonnay so that is what we buy. And that is what I drink when I have had enough beer.

    Stay safe friend.
