    I spent the afternoon cutting back my redtip hedge and wisteria vines and worked up a thirst. This Valentins Grapefruit Hefeweizen is a good 2.6 % ABV
    fruit soda.

    I know the Beastie Boys are not your thing. Nothing wrong with that. I always viewed that album as a love letter to NYC post 9/11.

    This song from the album may not be the best hip hop. But I loved its unabashed kiss of love to the city as it tried to heal.

    I think that's awesome, no doubt. I am also not going to say anything negative regarding the matter. It's a great thing that we all have diverse palates when it comes to music & beer. Fans are one of the primary reasons artists get exposure, and also the reason they are able to continue making a career out of doing what they love to do best. The Beastie die hards are the reason their legacy will never die. :beers:

    look: 3.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Orange juice-looking body; thin, patchy head. Fresh citrus aroma; orange; hint of white wine. Excellent taste; bread crust and biscuit base supporting a bright and sharp citrus flavor; grapefruit rind; dry white wine; peppery with a nice boozy edge. Heavy body; sharp and acidic with an associated dryness aided by a relatively high ABV.

    This collaboration brings interesting elements to the senses. The looks are excellent, body-wise, but the lack of any decent head is disappointing. Things pick up with the aroma with its combination of citrus and white wine elements. The taste marks the beer's high point, sharp, tangy and very flavorful. The body wraps everything together with beautiful mouthfeel. All things considered, a damn nice beer...

    Is that the '80s series replay? Family is longtime Phillies fans, and (as a Red Sox fan) I admit I got a little contact high from their win that year. As I recall, the NLCS against the Astros was a great series.
