Holy shit, another wow beer from Fox Farm. This is fucking amazing. I love the Strata hop for sure. This is so soft, chewy and filled with berry. Christ.

 

Chilling on the back deck. We are just a few months away from moving to northern Arizona where we have a house. Exciting times but will miss Glen Ellyn.

I buy this beer every May out of tradition, but I don't think it is as good as other TG IIPAs. Just buy a lot of King Sue when you are able, and use your hot tub to transport to the Jurrasic era, for the optimal IIPA experience.

 

Cars are washed. Do that once a year whether they need it or not. Also got the grass cut. This is well deserved. Cheers!

 

Phase Three Pressed Imperial Porter Coffee/Toffee. This series never disappoints. Awesome gourmet coffee presence with loads of sweet toffee/caramelized sugar. Not sure how they got the toffee flavor into the beer, but thankfully it doesn't come off too artificial. Kinda reminiscent of Southern Tier Creme Brulee, but not as sweet and more balanced from the coffee. A 12% imperial porter is probably not the best idea with 88 degree weather, but definitely not regretting it. Cheers!

We went for a walk along the Cape Cod Canal and according to some of the fishermen we spoke to, the fish seemed to be socially distancing from their hooks.

I don’t even want to admit how long a new turntable sat in a box in a spare bedroom! Vinyl is alive again in the house, with the help of a few Spotted Cow’s to get it tracked properly! Even harder part was finding where the old Pioneer amp ended up.

Moving on, I went to my beer cellar and pulled out a 750ml sour; nope, not in the mood...so I opted for a session IPA - Lagunitas’ “DayTime”:



I’m on dinner detail later, so a lite beer and a short nap sound just about right. Cheers!

This recent addition to the treehouse DIPA lineup is tasting fantastic right now. I was lucky enough to try the first canning back in April, but this batch is even better. So smooth and drinkable at 8.1%!
