Just a quick "wine traitor" shot - finishing up last night's flat iron steak with a tater tot waffle (you read that right) an egg, the steak, and some sauteed sorrel in garlic. Cheers! Be well to each other.

I checked on their website after I saw you posting some and see they’re shipping in NY. So close, yet so far! If I was in the office I would have them ship there.

Lol, I’ve gotten 2 boxes from them so far. The Einbecker unfiltered I posted yesterday was so fuckin good. Like, one of the best pilsners I’ve ever had in my life, good. All the Schlenkerla stuff AND the OEC...slam dunk.

We have a few on the shelves fortunately. If you see locally or have the delivery option for this beer I would highly recommend. A Märzen that was so delicious.

I have skipped that both times I’m afraid to admit. Maybe if I get another box and it’s still available I’ll pull the trigger. I was intrigued but I try to keep it to one box (money :slight_frown:)

Havent been around for a week or so. Copied this from NBS to fill you in. Probably not important just wanted to say it.......

    Good Evening folks.
A bit of info before I get into a late NBS brew which will most likely be the last one for awhile.
Some may know Ive been out of work as a Chef for about 3 months now due to Covid19. I was scheduled to start a new job the day the shit hit the fan. Recently I was called and asked to start again under certain conditions which frankly I found against "ethical standards" if you will. At the same time my brother who runs a restaurant, concession and food truck in Maine had contacted me about the upcoming summer and how he was finding it impossible to find help with whats going on. Long story short I spent the last week up there and decided to help him for the Summer. 5 doubles and 2 days off with a 4 hour commute one way to get home and take care of my wife and house for a day. Needless to say I wont have much, if any free time.
They close Labor Day so ten weeks of this. Anyhow lets get to this beer, which just so happens to be brewed in Maine. And if youre ever in the Pemaquid Harbor Maine area this summer let me know and come see me.
Marsh Island Brewing Pulp Truck IPA
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a 2 finger head that starts out creamy, then gets rocky, and then dissapears leaving almost no lacing.
Aroma is sweet citrus and cotton candy and cannabis.
Taste is OJ all the way with hints of lemon and some tropical pineapple and mango, peach.
Feel is juicy and quite soft but is accentuated by a prickly carbonation that brightens it up quite nicely. Its a fine thirst quenching version of an IPA with a light/medium body- would be a great summer IPA at 6%. I really enjoyed this one. Worth a try for sure and I will be buying more in Maine.
