    I don't know if @cjgiant is behind this, but check out his Post #63 today (it's the top image of the post that hypes this)...it's basically a theme to post pictures and talk about your favorite tomes and brews, past and present, on hand or not...

    Genuine Bock Beer by Pipeworks. I haven't had a really good Bock Beer in a while, but have genuine fondness for this style and this beer in particular. Made in the Windy City, I have not been able to get it at its peak, but still...

    I'm partially to blame, @traction - but the book side of the theme day comes from @LeperJim who used to host BeerAdvocates, Booknotes, and Beers every third... Tuesday or Thursday of the month a couple years ago. The focus of that theme was on what book(s) you were reading at the time.

    We've had a few "Throwback" theme days as well, which mainly encouraged people to forsake the new for a day and embrace the beers you used to enjoy but haven't had in a while.

    As @beergoot said more succinctly, Saturday is a collaboration theme with the suggestion that you post your favorite beers (old or new) and favorite books (whether currently reading or not). You choose the makeup of the list - for example, you could have a fiction and a non-fiction list.

    Ideally, you can include both in a post pic, but the hopefully your choices just spark a conversation. And as all theme days on the WBAYDN threads - participation is not required, merely encouraged.

    ...guess I'll blame it on the bourbon that I tended to frequent more often back then...or maybe the shame of having a fair number of "banned" books in my library...:stuck_out_tongue:

    I'm totally in it would be awesome if I can find a BAer to nerd out about war history and geopolitics with. They are topics that aren't really relevant to the board but I always enjoy a good drunken debate over PM
