After some gardening tasks early this morning, I spent the entire day inside relaxing with Mrs. Z and the doggies. Having my first beer today - Firestone Walker’s “22nd Anniversary Ale” (2018) that I got at the brewery last summer in California:

Very nice in a boozy kinda way...working on notes for NBS, check it out in a little bit, and while there, add your own new beer review. Cheers virtual bar mates!

Having a beer on the deck and keeping a low profile—other than here in the Worldwide Virtual Bar.

We're finally getting some much needed rain and I've retreated to the basement bar and drinking Magnify's Sit Tight. So flavorful but delicate for 8.1%!

This is quite a hoppy, dry, zesty and bitter Saison that still manages to maintain Fatôme's characteristic yeast profile with some rather fruity and somewhat spicy yeast esters.

Great to share in my relaxing afternoon with you all! Our house goes on the market next month and then we will settle into our house in northern arizona for good.

I have been finding this beer fairly fresh for a few months now, and honestly it's right in my wheelhouse of the main type of beers I drink now

    Cheers!

    Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Pilsner Urquell, a delicious and unique Czech Pilsner with a quintessential buttery flavor
    2) Ruekeller Helles from The Bruery, a nice and easy drinking helles that has earthy, buttery tones.
    3) Golden Road Mango Cart Wheat, a light and fruity beer with a wheat malt backbone to give it a nice body
    4) Lift Bridge Mango Blonde, a rather sweet and fruity beer for the right occasion.
    5) Centennial IPA from Founders in Michigan. A masterpiece of an IPA that is appropriately sweet. Interestingly we got chocolate notes in this one.
    6) Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA, an excellent and old-school west coast heavyweight IPA. Ours was old, but get it while it's fresh and it's a gem.

Winner: Centennial IPA with Ruekeller Helles a close second.

Have a favorite of the group?

It is freaking hot outside. Finished some work up and cooling off in the garage with some Yuengling I brought back from vacation. Wish they distributed here. Great beer for the price.
