Spiteful Brewing Shadenfroh. This is the least Spiteful like beer I’ve had, brewed to the traditional German Pilsner style. They did a great job, as always.

Two for Tuesday continues while I ponder whether to go home or be bad and head to a favorite bar for their wing special and a few more pours. Rain influencing the go home possibility.

Thanks! We will definitely jam again, we just need to get past this Covid crap first. In the meantime, I can't justify getting five or 6 people together in the confined space of my basement, it just wouldn't be a wise choice. Unfortunately, one bad decision can have dire, lasting consequences. Cheers!

@LarryV is right on with his regions.
I had a Southern Pride smoker at Revival which could smoke 1000 pounds of meat. I never used it that much but I did do briskets, ribs, pork etc. Even seafood. Personally Im not much of a rib guy unless its huge beef ribs texas style. Just dont think its worth it for the amount of meat and the sloppiness. People love em though. To me chicken is the challenge. Of you can smoke a chicken and keep it moist and tender youre the man. I rarely see this in BBQ joints. Now that I know Im off this week we will be having a big cookout with my son coming home. I am doing the chicken thing. Have at the BBQ!

For a number of years my friend, I too have not been enamored with the dates on Total Wine brews. I have seen many IPAs on the build your own six pack aisle with dates hitting a year or more. I am just a dumb ass beer consumer but I do not think an unpasteurized IPA sitting on a warm shelf for a year can be all that good. I basically stopped shopping there.

Raul. The real answer is what meat do you prefer? If its beef then Texas all the way (Lockhart TX) specifically. If its pork then the South is your friend. I've had all the others in terms of region, style, etc., but when I dream of BBQ and wake up sweating... its Texas Brisket at Smitty's, Kreuz, or Black's bbq.
    That's it.

An ipa from my local microbrewery, featuring kveik yeast, and hopped with citra. Then refermented on peaches and vanilla. Nice beer with lots of flavor and little tartness to boot.

Love all of the BBQ chatter. I think one thing we can agree on is that we have a lot of good BBQ joints and breweries in the states.

Sadly, I think like you. Wait a minute, I did not mean it that way. What I meant to say is that given my age and all my medical conditions I cannot afford to make a mistake. To be blunt, if I getting Covid I am sure I will be dead in a week or less.

Every summer wife and I spend a week at the beach with our daughters, son in laws, granddaughter and crazy ass Zeke the yellow lab. Not this year. They all went this week and are having a good time. If we did not have to stop to use facilities three or more times on the trip, I would stay at the beach cottage with them. Damn, I pay for most of it anyway but that is not the point.

    Sorry for the long post.

No apologies necessary, I'm right there with you on the same page. One of the things they've drilled into our heads at the med school/hospital is to treat everyone as a possible "shedder", they may be asymptomatic but spreading the virus. Problem is, I don't know where my friends have been and how effectively they're practicing the guidelines.

I see people in my neighborhood having huge parties where everyone is sitting side by side at picnic tables without masks or any semblance of social distancing, it's like they think the pandemic is over, unfortunately it isn't and it won't be for a long time. Once the fall and flu season comes around and the 2nd wave begins they expect it to be even worse. It's not a time for complacency. They're still learning new things about how this virus spreads, they don't have all the answers yet, plus like most viruses it's already mutated into new forms, it's not to be taken lightly. I'm not trying to be preachy here, people have the right to do what they choose, I prefer to exercise a healthy modicum of caution. Cheers and stay well!

Went after the first Texas Oktoberfest I saw on shelves today. Rahr is by no means my favorite märzen but it gets the job done while waiting for some other stateside ones/Ayinger after I drank a few vatts of Paulaner over the past few months.

Cool - have a great time! I thought of doing that but I know some of my neighbors would complain. If we were a band playing cover tunes we could probably get away with it, but most of my neighbors just wouldn't get it.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything they can do to help pass a kidney stone. You just have to wait until it moves through on it's own - drinking a lot of water can help. The way the doctor described it to me is that it's like a tiny piece of glass that has to travel through the ducts in your kidneys until you urinate it out. All I know is they hurt like a mother.

As the three it was a quick visit and we left.

You made a wise choice - sorry to hear that you're family has been personally affected by this. And sadly, you can't give people the proper remembrance and ceremonies due to the same reason that took them from us. Be smart and be well!
