    Half a bottle of over-carbonated home-brewed porter (the other half is being used as my liquid for the 2-2-1 method of smoking baby back ribs). The beer blows, but the ribs will be good.

    Scotch Bonnet, a Wee Heavy, at Bucket Brigade Brewery. They’ve done a nice job with this: dry, bitter, and earthy with lots of char. I salute any brewer that brews this style regularly.

    Wisened up and went for an import. Some weird ingredients list: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, yeast:

    Apparently this can of Aventinus was imported by someone other than the normal company. Doesn’t seem to taste any different.

    I have a small smoker so I have to do each rack separately. It takes quite a while but gives me an excuse to drink beer and stay home.

    Nice. I like the fact they mix in songs/artists in their standard mix, rarer tracks from their featured artists, and artists you only hear on Saturday Morning.

    Second pour today, a planned pairing of two porters, one with Chilies. This one is the 5% base, Lake Effect Brewing's Summer Porter.

    This is a good light porter, the only kind that works in this weather. Full review in NBS.

    Two standard XRT tracks and a rare "When in Rome" track XRT also played today!
