Great pics! Cheers!
I think Tropicalia has supplanted Jai Alai as the premier IPA in the Southeast - certainly, for easily obtainable ones. I drink a lot of Tropicalia - and I can get it at craft beer shops, grocery stores, and gas stations, always fresh.
Blue Monk Vintage 2013. Quadrupel from de Struise Brouwers, East-Vleteren. Matured on red wine barrels Chateau Margaux. Full and creamy with a rather warm alcohol mouthfeel.
Cheers all and Happy Birthday @mschrei !
About to cut up some "tatties" as my wife says, to make some fries. Then slap some steaks in the grill.
Tree House - Very Green
This beer is the real deal meal on wheels on the corner of Beal dressed all in teal with platform heels slipping on banana peels which feels as slippery as an eel that squeals while escaping from a seal named Neil who doesn't eat veal because it doesn't appeal to him. What I'm trying to say is... Very Green is the real deal. And for the price, an absolute steal!
Cheers, and here's to the weekend zeal!
Time for another favorite beer/album pairing.
Weyerbacher - Blithering Idiot barleywine ale from 2016, best by 2021
Really great, notes of red grapes, plum, stone fruit, dark caramel malts, charred toffee, molasses, roasty chocolate, vanilla marshmallow, dried dark fruits, apricot, slight bubblegum, citrus medley, and bitter earthy herbal floral piney hop notes. Cheers all!
getting heavier as we go
I totally agree. Jai Alai is very good; but I'd grab a Trop first every time.

Fat Heads Hop Stalker Fresh Hop IPA. I’ve wanted to try this one for a while now and it finally was distributed to Indiana this week. Certainly lives up to the expectations. Earthy pine resin, bright herbaceousness, yellow grapefruit flesh, grapefruit peel, tangerine, orange peel, lemon pith, bright floral, mango skin. Bright, fresh, concentrated hop oil goodness.
