Great Divide Pumpkin Spice Yeti
I'm saddened by the disappearance of pumpkin stouts.
Thank you for never dressing your dog in a shameful costume.
About to take the kids out in the neighborhood... Happy Halloween, BA's!
Nice one, looks very Halloweeny. Cheers.
I remember those days- loved them. Gotta have the "cup" to make it authentic. One year drove the lawn tractor to a populated neighborhood near by. Had the trailer on back and drove a bunch of kids around. I live in a rural area so no kids anymore.
#Nofilter from Thomas Hooker Brewing Company of scenic Bloomfield Connecticut. NEIPA time, Cheers.
Daddy's little helper on the hunt for candy. Happy Halloween, Reformation Day, and Daylight Savings!
Wylam (UK) - Shouting at Strangers.
While I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Kveik beers, it kinda works here, making for an intriguing Red Ale with a good balance of malt, hops and yeast esters that is a little acidic and quite zesty and fruity in character, with lighter floral and spicy elements. Overall, a somewhat unique Red Ale with some distinct estery fruit and spice notes in addition to the hoppy elements.
First fall fireside beer, many more to come. Cheers!
It doesn't seem right to "like" this post.
I just busted a beer nut over this
I was in the mood for a wee heavy (for obvious reasons), and I have a great one on hand! It is still trick-or-treat hours, which I am hiding from, but I did not see anyone outside. I decided to take this picture, but then, suddenly, a random sexy pirate appeared, walking down the street. I love sexy pirates!
Home for number 3, saw my sister for her birthday today, so apropos
Moved inside and counting down the days. 5 days till Clearwater..
It's not lost on me that these are indeed the good days. Cheers!
...got distracted with visitors, so here's the intended beer pic for my original post...

Finally got my hands on this and yes this is some tasty sauce. Over to NBW #15.
Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup is Battle Beers!
1) Boulevard Pils from KC, a light and easy-drinking pilsner that reminds me of a Kolsch with it's fruity and grape flavors
2) Cerveza Pacifico, an authentic Mexican lager with an authentic malt profile
3) Founders' Oktoberfest 2020, a great and smooth-drinking Marzen with honey and caramel flavors. Done quite well.
4) Great Lakes Oktoberfest 2020, another great Marzen that is very similar. Slightly more spice and cherry notes
5) Insight Brewing's Claw King, a NEIPA with fantastic strawberry and melon flavors to make it smooth, juicy, and creamy.
6) Lupulin Brewing's Hooey, another NEIPA with huge green citrus and juicy flavors.
1) Cerveza Pacifico, a more rounded and full beer
2) Great Lakes Oktoberfest 2020, very similar to Founders and a hard call, but this one had more spice. Neither are authentic for a German festbier, but for a Marzen Great Lakes has more going for it. Nonetheless, these are very similar
3) Hooey, a fantastically juicy and green citrus NEIPA. The green citrus in this beer reminds me of PseudoSue, and everyone knows that is a compliment. This one is quite good for a NEIPA.
Do you agree with the ratings, or have you had any of the beers? Which Oktoberfest was your favorite of the year if you didn't get your hands of either of these?
(Sorry. Just prepping for the game.)
@scream, I agree. Is now a good time to discuss a pumpkin Wolf with certain people, er no?

Pours clear straw-gold into my pilsener glass. Adorned with a fluffy white head which sinks to a ring and a film and leaves soapy lace on the sides of the glass.
Nose is biscuit, grain, lemon, floral and spicy hops.
Taste is clean and refreshing with lemon, biscuit malt and a strong mineral note. Hint of lime. Crisp dry finish - dry to the point of astringency - with a lovely long herbal bitter hop note. There's something that reminds me of gin and tonics. The mineral note and hint of lime. Cereal grains and a touch of honey though not at all sweet. Hops are peppery and herbal and wonderfully bitter.
Medium bodied with a fine carbonation and drying finish.
Drinkability is excellent. As delightful as this in late Autumn it would be even better on a hot summer day.
Big ole Jai Alai can at the Hampton inn tiki bar....
I should have bought more gourds to stack. Next year, I will
We didn't pass out candy for the first time in 45 years. We don't get as many kids at our house as a rule anyway, only about 6 or 7 houses usually put their lights on in our neighborhood and no one around me gives out candy. We live in between 2 streets at the end of the grid and kids don't want to walk down to only 2 or 3 houses out of 30 to get candy. It was weird when we moved here, we were used too huge crowds of kids on Halloween night at our other house. Now we get a few kids early and college kids late. I usually dump what's left in the first older kids bag and shut the light of. One year a bunch of college kids rang the bell and when I answered I was going to tell them to piss off, then a girl dressed up to look like the naughty nurse from the Blink -189 album stepped forward. She got 2 bags of candy and one of the kids said to me " works every time"
Back at Casa de Powell, Pizza in my gut.
Triptytch Raspberry Gerry Fruit Aisle Sour IPA with Milk Sugar, Vanilla Beans, the aforementioned fruit plus red currants & Mosaic Hops. Cheers @basaywhat
Always an annual purchase. Pretty much a perfect beer.
Not handing out candy for safety reasons, the fact that OU is playing just means my Son didn't have to do it if we were doing candy this year
Awesome shot, cheers.
