    Been a busy day. Got donuts for breakfast, reset mole traps, raked a bunch of leaves. Mrs. snaotheus made potstickers (which will be used for dinner later) and bread, which we then used to make Italian beef sandwiches for lunch.

    We’re at Angry Erik Brewing in Newton NJ. It’s our first visit since they moved to the new, larger facility. I’m starting with Hel Crow, a Red Ale. The caramel sweetness of the malt is well-balanced by a strong earthy bitterness. I like it!

    Moving on to the second beer of the day, which is Rodenbach Classic, or Red. A great beer but middle of the road for these guys. One thing I love about this brewery is that they don't fuck around. They do one thing and they do it exceptionally well. They have eight active beers and three of them; Alexander, Grand Cru and Caractere Rouge, are among the best in the world. Cheers.

    Their Vintages are also great to cellar. They change quite a lot, and about four years is the sweet spot for me.

    Hop and Awe, a 10.3% English/Southern style IPA at Angry Erik. My best friend from high school swears by it. My first experience and I’d drink it any time.
