    This is my favorite beer, period. Alpine Nelson is a thing of the past, but this little wonder right here will never change as long as John Kimmich is breathing. I'm thankful. I love you. Cheers!

    Phase Three Vivid Light West Coast IPA. They brew this one every few months, but the first time I’m having it. Honestly of the better west coasts I’ve had in recent memory. They say a blend of 5 different American hops, but they don’t mention what specific hops they use unlike their other hoppy beers. Certainly seems like Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial at the very least. Clean, fruity, floral, piney, bitter, gentle malt, refreshing. I’ll be getting much more than one can of this next time it’s released.

    We’re at Highrail Brewing in High Bridge NJ. Nice place! I’m starting with Forging Ahead, a 5.7% West Coast style IPA. Very nice. Will post on NBW later. Cheers!

    Leavy Greave by St Mars Of The Desert, an English brewery founded by the guys behind Pretty Things. They refer to their IPAs as Koelship IPAs now, rather than what you see on the can. And it’s quite different, a lot fruitier than hoppy, and damned refreshing for a 7.7% beer.
