Starting with a 3 year old Bravo from Firestone. I surprisingly have never had this despite seeing it frequently over the years. Well, here we go! Quite amazing! Cheers!

Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup is Battle Beers:

    1) Avery Brewery's White Rascal: A Belgian-style Witbier out of Colorado that has fantastic white wheat and citrus Belgian flavors.
    versus
    2) Bell's Bright White: Another Belgian-style Witbier out of Michigan with wheat flavors with a funky ester flavor or orange gummy bear.

    3) Three Rings Brewery Vertigo IPA: A midwestern IPA out of Kansas with very faint aromas/flavors of grapefruit and bitter pine. Not unlike Sierra Nevada. Falls off the the flavor though.
    versus
    4) Odell IPA: A standard mountain IPA from Colorado with balanced orange, tropical and juicy flavors.

    5) Deschutes Obsidian Stout (6.4%): A stout with huge chocolate and roast profile A ton of dark chocolate in this stout.
    versus
    6) Castle Danger's George Hunter Stout (8.0%): Another stout with nice velvety chocolate and cream malt flavors.

    Winners:
Avery White Rascal: Quite an impressive witbier here. Excellent white citrus and wheat flavors combine for a dynamic flavorful and mouthfeel finish.
Odell IPA: A great and standard west-leaning IPA that balances juicy, malty, and bitterness to make it dynamic.
George Hunter Stout: Hard to call a winner between the two and went back and forth. I think this beer finishes more smooth, but I think it will come down to preference. Obsidian stout was good too.

Do you agree/disagree with the ratings?
Have you had Avery White Rascal, Odell, or George Hunter Stout and what did you think?

Brewing Projekt MegaBerryz Puff Tart Raspberry/Blackberry/Blueberry Sour, 4.57% ABV. Pours thick and murky dark red with a 3-finger pink head that left a bunch of puree residue. Nose is a real nice berry mashup, plus vanilla. Taste follows, slightly sweet, moderately tart. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding to world-class-adjacent. Worlds better than the Gauvapplerry variant I had last night, which was bland as hell.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5

I believe the Gauvapplerry variant I had last night was lacking the puree. It was bland, thinner, and didn't leave residue. Either they didn't stir it before canning, or forgot to add it.

Things are escalating over here. The coffee has faded a bit, but is still fairly potent.

There’s something weird going on in the universe tonight. These 2 usually take swings at each other whenever they are within arms length of each other.

Finishing off the 4-pack of this, it’s still drinking exceptionally well with a month of whiskers on it. The honey complements the juicy hop profile really well.
