This is a solid expectation for their new venture. I am hoping for the absolute best.

Bottled 11/23/20. A tasty WC DIPA at 8%. I’m going to clean the kitchen and start dinner prep and dial back the drinking. Mrs. Z’s 6month scans are on Monday and she’s all a nervous twitter and acting squirrelly in anticipation...

Lots of great posts today, I love seeing what you guys are up to! Spent most of the day watching and capping soccer games....Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredevisie, FA Cup, League One....ESPN+ is amazing if you're a soccer fan. Got in some cardio, now enjoying one from a fave brewery with Duke/Louisville. Na Zdorovie!!

It is COLD today! The wind is whipping and the wind chill is unpleasant. I had hoped to hit up a new brewery today but the cold and general exhaustion caused me to limit my exertions to a quick beer run. I was rewarded by finding DDH King Sue less than 3 weeks old. I remember how thrilled I was to get a bottle of this in a BIF several years ago and now it's right around the corner. I remember posting it on New Beer Sunday but when I checked the database I found I never written a review. Until now, that is. Cheers, everyone!

This one didn't last long. I have to make the pilgrimage to Hood River one of these days.

One of my fave 80s punk releases. Just got it on vinyl today:

I've actually never had this beer before, wasn't interested. However, it was part of the FW mix pack that I got to revisit their classics, so why not. Cheers, advocates!!!

I’m usually pretty skeptical of the, “This is different from last year” comments for many beers. But, this year’s batch really is different. Less sweet, and more hop forward. I really like it!

Well thats exciting! I remember when you lived in these parts we would race to the store to wipe out the OG Nelson.
You always beat me to it. I think you purchased like 75% of the stock in New England.

I don't expect the Bucs to win, honestly. Stranger things have happened, though. None of us are experts. I'm picking Rodgers over Mahomes in the Super Bowl. This entire year has given me flashbacks of Elway vs Favre. Brett had just come off a Super Bowl, and Elway was the old guy. Well, we all know what happened. Peace...

    Sierra Nevada Hop Bullet

    From a mixed 12 pack marked 12/17/20.

Poured into my tulip this ale is a clear luminous golden amber and the bubbly cream colored head settles to a foamy ring, decorating the glass with fluffy lace as it goes.

Scent is pine, grapefruit, caramel, floral and citrus.

Taste is caramel, citrus, grapefruit and pine sap. Very long bitter finish much like my second marriage. Lightly charred bread crusts. Some spice. There is a touch of oniony dankness here which I love. The 8% abv is hidden deftly. Caramel sneaks in as the beer warms.

Mouth is creamy and oily with a good heft to it.

Good balance of hop flavors (citrus, resin, spice) with a firm malt base (breadcrust, caramel) making for a very satisfying West coast DIPA. Great with a stinky bleu cheese by the way!

I’m not sure what it is about Boulevard PA (and SNPA) in the can. Just not as good as the bottle it seems. Maybe it’s the bottle conditioning. So I decided to go halves-sies with Little Sumpin’ Sumpin. It works. I guess I’ll have at least two of these.[IMG]
