Random Row Supernova DIPA... excellent West Coast DIPA

 

Since I was getting #16, I decided to get a few #15 also as they had them on sale to clear them out. I knew they’d be a couple of months old, but no biggie. #15 is a rebrew of #5 and is for my money pretty much the pinnacle of the series so far.

Stumbled upon this song while listening to a Spotify playlist called Alt Country Classics. Just a great F-ing song. Son of writer Larry McMurtry. Cheers.

 

Drinking an imperial stout with honey from Trillium today, The Six States brewed with ingredients sourced from all six New England states. Pretty interestingly hoppy, some grapefruity citrus, dark fruit, sweet honey, dark baking chocolate, dark caramel, heavy roast, dark toffee, charred brown sugar, espresso coffee, earthy herbal pine. A good drinking stout, not really sweet, no dessert flavors, good hoppiness and balance, fair complexity still, pretty nice. Cheers all!


never heard of this band, think I need to post Three for Thursday to vindicate them though, since I wasn't feeling most of their other songs

I can't wait until Friday. The weather in Atlanta sucks. I hate 40 F and rain. Would rather it snow, but I feel for everyone in Texas right now, what a mess. I'm drinking Monday Night's Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale 7.2% ABV (Wee Heavy if you will). Solid wintery choice. It's been around for a while, but first time I've drank it. Nice beer for this kind of weather. Has a bit of warmth to it. Here's to Friday coming - cheers!



This song actually seems more Friday to me for some reason. Guadalcanal Diary was a fun band back in my college days (drinking cheap beer days).

 

I'm not sure exactly why, but that Oscar Robinson kind of hit the spot this Thursday. Cheers!
