First of all, welcome back to @Squire it's been a minute.

Secondly, The Long Thaw, a Hazy IPA with Orange Peel & Coriander from Harpoon is in the glass now. A very light nose that has opened up a touch as it has warmed. Once in my mouth, it's got bright citrus, mostly orange and a touch of spice. I can't identify if it's the advertised coriander or not, though. It's decent enough to let you but me one, but not good enough to buy myself.

 

I used to paint houses on an island off the coast of New Jersey and that salt water absolutely destroys moldings and the paint just rots. Some houses on the dunes that have no trees or shade we’d paint once a year

 

Starting early with a DREAM CRUSHER. Rye beer from Deep Ellum. I don't know why I love a rye beer but man this is good.

 

Bodhi is their sweet spot beer for me. Creeper is good but a little malty to attempt to mask its 10% ABV. Bodhi tastes great then hits you like a bag of hammers midway during the second one.

 

Love Rye beers. I miss Ruthless Rye.
And Alpine Nelson one of my favorite beers of all time was rye malt. Cheers!

We do get a lot of Collective Arts in my area. This I picked up in Costco.

 

Cool. I had no idea they were distributing that far. They do some very good stuff, particularly in the IPA area. Cheers.

 

I agree, the Costco price was $9.99 for a 16 oz 4-pack which was a no brainer! Cheers!

When we lived in Maine, Memorial Day weekend was our planting time.

 

In Ontario the rule of thumb is after the full moon in May, which this year is the 28th, so about the same. Cheers.

Up now is Schlafly Winter Haze, a 6% American IPA. I think this is misclassified as an American IPA. It seems more like a NEIPA. It is full of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and papaya. I rated it 4.21, a goodly bit above it's BA average of 3.91.

 

I love Weltenburger beers and it's already weekend for me. Really good Helles.
