After a long day painting I'm headed outside to watch walking dead next to the fire and enjoy a night cap.

Pretty solid! Nothing mind blowing, but a really nice sipper, really starts to shine once it warms up (obviously). I reviewed it, if you wanna know all the details

Finished a final paper for one of my classes and celebrated with a New Glarus Two Women, which was a very good lager. Next, I cracked an old bottle of Hop Wallop (not deliberately aged) which tasted bad and so became acquainted with my drain (FWIW, I love it fresh). Finally, I am sipping a ~year-old Victory Storm King, which is EXCELLENT. I definitely understand why it had such a high ranking before the days of -bal beers. It is super smooth, thick and viscous yet still drinkable, roasty, dark chocolatey, complex goodness. Still bitter, and I think it could definitely age a bit more and probably improve even more -- scary thought!

I have sampled many things tonight: Revolution Anti-Hero, Nightstalker, Big John, Tank 7, NG Blacktop, Sixth Glass, 3 of a friend's homebrews, etc. Its been a long night, I might have forgotten something.

It was incredibly rich, smooth, velvety, little syrupy and the two beers just blended perfectly together tastewise.

I know, that's a sin. Found it behind some bottles and forgot it was there, that's why I have to clean that sucker out! :stuck_out_tongue:
