Nice day for a long walk on my day off. Well at least I got a good day off. Think I'll head back out there.

[IMG] [IMG]A good alternate name for this incredible stout would be The Velvet Cocoa Hammer.
My God is it good and I'm gonna say right off the bat that it's overall flavor is rather reminiscent of very moist Duncan Hines German chocolate cake with coconut caramel icing.
I'm not complaining except for how flippin' awesome this beer is. Super creamy, smooth, a brilliant composition of flavors and there's no nagging aftertastes. The flavors stay together. None of them go rogue. An easy drinking Imperial Milk Stout at 10%ABV. Very easy.
A really excellent beer and a very excellent aperitivo. Wow! Just wow!
Pictured here are Jackson's pocket guide to beer editions 1,3,5,7. I'll be adding mucho beers here, there and everywhere!
Keep up the good work y'all. Keep on smiling! Be safe. Thanks Ba! Cheers!!:beers:

Usually don't post more than once daily, but when I do it's because I score a fun vintage ale! Picked up this killer mid '18 Dirty Bastard....time has done this well. Lots of caramel, honey, stone fruit, minimal presence of smoke & earthiness. This now blends into Barleywine/Old Ale territory and I'm not complaining about that.

Beautiful color and density; soft, pale yellow body with a strong cloudiness; thick and frothy white head, rocky and sculpted with spidery patches of foam adhering to the glass. Soft, beady malt body scent infused with a light lemon character. Soft, subtle flavors; warm bread crust with a touch of lemon followed with a moderate hop bitterness; muted tangy taste; very mild phenols. Medium body; soft and warm on the palate; gentle acidic sharpness adds depth; moderate overall dryness.

This is a beautifully produced imperial IPA. The looks, taste, and feel and exquisite, delivering some very fine depth and complexity to the tasting experience.

Pours a beautiful black color. There's a lot of carbonation to this pour, that resulted in a 4 finger tan head. The retention was pretty good, though there's really no lacing on the glass.
The nose is not too strong. There's a bit of a malty biscuit aroma here. Some chocolate, and coffee as well.
Taste - Nice roasty malt flavor here. There's chocolate notes. There's coffee, as well.
Some alcohol burn going on here, but not too strong. The body is fairly thick.
Delicious beer, and a pleasure to try.

A solid stout for sure. 5%ABV 32IBU. Local. Very fresh. I think it's made in slightly smaller batches so it's not always as easily found as Summit's flagship beer EPA.
Nice tan head, well carbonated, lightly roasty, hazelnut, med-bodied, slightly sweet with a small amt of chocolate and has a firm mouth feel with a faster finish but it is not dry. Very drinkable.
You may now move freely about the cabin:laughing::beers: Cheers!
