What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3134

Made it up to Henderson today, didn’t hit this in October with all the closures. Good to be back.

At Lovelady, first beer sold as a WCIPA.

Lovelady State of Change



Brewer notes: WCIPA, 6.9% 30 IBU, $6.50. Features Pale malts with a ton of Citra and Mosaic hops. Fruity on the nose with dry finish.

Appearance: Clear straw color pour, faint carbonation, 16 oz draft into a Beecher glass. Bright white head, fine bubble lacing. 4.0

Aroma: Nice pine aroma, citrus backed, light in strength but pleasant. 3.5

Taste: Bursts with flavor, a strong fresh pine leads, citrus bold and sweet, a nice balance. Get strawberry as well. Caramel malt taste hangs in the back. A solid pour. 4.0

Mouthfeel: Very Dry, sweet wins out as I get into this pour, but bitterness provides a nice contrast. Creamy, medium body, persistent thin carbonation throughout, drinks easier than ANV, clean finish. 4.25

Overall: This is a solid WCIPA, sweet citrus blends well with the pine. Dry, easy drinking, really enjoying this one. 4.25

Returned to my alma mater, Fordham College Rose Hill, for my daughter's college graduation. Fordham did it right: New York has had tight restrictions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and, by having 4 ceremonies with 25% density, they were able to give the students and their families a commencement in spite of that.



Took her to the Sugar Factory on the Upper West Side for a celebratory lunch (her choice). That's my Bud in the foreground and her Ocean Blue, complete with dry ice and shark gummies.



Home now, unwinding with my maternal grandfather's favorite, Rolling Rock. Note, perfect with lime.

I used the SPG.
Moving on to this angelic and supernatural Leffe blonde.
Thermo reads 4.5C. After the pour, perfect.
This is a great glass for it! Leffe doesn't open up as quickly in it as a larger tulip glass might allow it to do.

This is traveshamockery good, IMHO. Tripping Animals is the shizzle dizzle.
