    Wow, that's awesome. I never heard of the A.H. Hirsch but yeah looks like the blue wax 16yr is worth around 6k. That's a pretty valuable asset you have on your hands haha. Wish I could get Van Winkle 12 yr closer to retail price, anything over $200 seems like too much for a liquor definitely, unless you are rich I guess. Awesome music too. Cheers! :beers:

    You know, as far as bourbon goes, I'm glad that god has made Wild Turkey 101 (still one of the best bargains out there) and Jim Beam puts out a variety of quality beverages, and not to mention Four Roses and their offerings...

    Good Friday afternoon BA's. Well I struck out with first two beers today - Saison Dupont & Atlanta Brewing Co. Hoplanta. Just let them sit around too long and oxidized both. Too bad because I was craving a Saison today. Third time was a charm, but made it easy by going with an old reliable Pilsner Urquell. Crazy beautiful day today in North Georgia, on the cusp of some early summer like heat by Sunday. Doesn't bother me though, I've got cold beers to keep me cool! Cheers!

    Well, one final whiskey suggestion...if Mrs. D (or you) like Irish whiskey, give Middleton Very Rare a try...I think it currently retails just north of $200, but it's one of the smoothest whiskey's I've ever enjoyed...god knows how many bottles I've bought since one of my old Air Force buddies turned me on to it back in (then) West Germany...

    Yes!!!...Booker's is one of my favorites...bold and stately...for the less adventurous, I like to serve Basil Haydn...equally good yet way less assertive...

    Either one, though, served 'neat' and paired with a fine dark ale or a quality pilsner...well, I'm in my element...

    I have. Brought back a bottle of 1999 Middleton from Cork. 'Twas incredible. I keep a bunch of router bits in the wood box! Bossy likes basic blended and will only have single malt or something rare if I'm partaking. I do partake:sunglasses:
