I haven't had it since last fall, but maybe they cleaned it up or you just got a clean batch. I'm sure your butter meter is just fine.

    Cheers!

Although incredibly sweet, it’s probably the best Non BA stout I’ve had

My final Goldfinger, this one I believe is my favorite of the bunch.

Full review here. Traditionally brewed lager bursting with very enjoyable aroma and flavor. Light and easy, really glad I grabbed this one.

Speaking of enjoyable, Sox with the sweep this weekend. Will be challenged this week against Tampa Bay and Houston.

    We miss you Nancy!

Congrats to Eric, Erick, and the crew at Magnify Brewing on its 1000th batch. This TIPA is a fitting celebration. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!

Today is that rare Sunday when you have kids but no sports or other obligations, the weather is nice, and you can spend hours reading and relaxing on the patio. Enjoying a DDH Double Mosaic Dream from Other Half. Cheers!

[IMG] Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup: (Correctly identified 3 out of 3 in each pair during the blind taste test)

    1) Great Lakes’ Dortmunder Gold (5.8%): A European Export beer from Ohio that has strong pale malts, earthy honey, and light lemonflower flavors.
    versus
    2) Summit Dakota Soul (4.8%): This Czech Pilsner from Minnesota is brewed with North Dakota barley and has flavors of bitter lemongrass, bread spice, and yeast.

    3) Shocktop (5.2%): A Belgian wheat from Anheuser that has flavors of pale malts, sour grass, and drinks pretty flat. My first time trying this, but dissapointed.
    versus
    4) Stone Dayfall (5.5%): This Belgian wheat from California that has flavors of orange citrus, orange peel, bergamot flower, and jasmine.

    5) Toppling Goliath King Sue IPA (7.8%): A hazy IPA from Iowa since 2014 that is brewed with only Citra hops and has flavors of orange citrus, citrus flower, pine, and pineapple.
    versus
    6) Lagunitas Super Cluster IPA (8.0%): A strong and juicy IPA from Lagunitas brewed with Citra that has rich citrus flavors of mandarin orange and tropical melon/berry. Both Citra hops but interesting to see the difference in flavor between the two.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    1 & 2):
I can't really call a winner here. These are probably my two favorite lagers going head to head. Try them if you get a chance. Both are fantastic.

    4) Stone Dayfall
: At first I was hesitant, but I think this is a good beer. Lots of orange and bergamot. I think this is Stone trying to create a beer similar to Blue Moon to reach some non-craft drinkers. The Bergamot is a unique addition though.

    5) Toppling Goliath King Sue: Proud to find this one less than a month since packaging, which is key. I've had it older and it drinks pretty good, but not like this. You have to love it when a brewery properly/clearly dates their beer.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you tried Dortmunder Gold or Dakota Soul?
Have you tried Stone Dayfall and do you think they are chasing Blue Moon a bit, or is this better?
Have you gotten King Sue when it's fresh and what did you think?

For father's day my dad wanted me to clean out his gutters. That involved a cross between Donkey Kong and Super Mario Brothers maze of ladders, roofs and leaf blowers. Job's done and drinking a Hoponius Union as a pat on the back, job well done reward. Cheers!
