What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3170

Sierra Nevada Hop Bullet. Unfortunately, it's not fresh, canned 12/30/20. It's still pretty damn good, though. Pine & citrus in the nose with grapefruit & caramel on the palate. Probably awesome fresh.

 

I liked the Kölsch so much I figured I’d stick around and try another brew - “Frog Horn IPA”, a WC style with Centennial:



West Coast done well! 6.5% and 64 IBU. Lemony malt nose; some pine as beer warms. Bitter lemon hops, grapefruit rind right behind; firm malt base. Some sticky resin in the feel. Tasty, long bitter linger. Good balance of malt and bitter hops. My kinda beer! Cheers!

 

Wish I was smoking salmon right now too, have you ever tried steel head trout? Cheers

Having some poetry with my afternoon deskwork. I return to working on-site in mid-July. Mixed feelings with that return to the real office. Although I won't be able to enjoy an afternoon beer like now, at least I will have a reason to stop taking meetings from my Asia colleagues at all hours of the night my time.

Home from office early - it's beer time!

 

Rain!
The first real rain of the year and we needed it bad.
I'm drinking in and to the rain.



We live in a small town in NE Wyoming surrounded by Keyhole State Park and Reservoir.
Severe drought conditions and yearlong fire bans have made for scary times in Pine Haven, WY.

Well it finally happened last week.





It started in the State Park and burned the edge of Pine Haven. Luckily only one home was lost along with some out buildings and campers. No one was hurt. Fast action by firefighters and wind direction saved the day. The wind was blowing towards the water and away from town.

Damn! Be sure your "defensible space" is all set. We have to worry about that out here to, although we have more grassland than timber fires in our foothills. Climate wierdness all around... we are in a drought too, but my elderly parents down on the Colorado state line about 250 south of you have had record rainfall ever since their record blizzard in March. We just visited them and it's the greenest I've seen there in my 53 years.
