Kicking off the final full day in South Haven with an Old Nation Boss Tweed. I keep forgetting that I favor this over M-43, but they are both great.

Allagash River Trip - another Belgian-style session ale - monstrously delicious!

Saw Monster Mike Welch when he was 17 at a local club - think young B.B. King!

Pale, straw yellow body; very lively carbonation; thin yet persistent head, some foam rings the glass. Pleasant floral aroma with a gentle note of light cereal grains. Light flavors with a touch of grain taste and very mild bitterness; clean and balanced. Light, soft body; crisp; semi-dry.

Hey! This is a light lager. And it's done well. Plus it's simple and refreshing.

    Poured at 55.6 F; canning info: 04/10/21

Way out of my comfort zone with this one. Something like imperial sour does nor work for me I guess.
    Cheers!

Beer attempt #1: Fail! I cracked open a 2019 vintage White Elm Double Stuffed (Oreo) Imperial Stout, which was outstanding then. It had gone sour, so drain pour. Says right on it "Keep Cold, Drink Fresh". Guess they really mean that. Damn.

Beer attempt #2: Success! Also a 2019 vintage beer, Ommegang Bourbon Barrel Adoration Belgian Dark Strong, 11.5% ABV. Drinking good.

Good afternoon BA's! Time to get the extra long weekend started off right. Gaffel Kolsch hits the spot on a sultry July afternoon in GA. Hope everyone has a great weekend enjoying their favorite beers. Cheers!

Great beer. Saw some at my local bottle shop the other day. Was looking for something else, but will probably go back for some. I haven't had Prima Pils in a bit, but always solid!

Have a good Friday. Work all week again. 2 days off Sunday. Gf has a tiny pt office job now and still looking for more. I got a call back for a civil engineering surveying or something designer position. Hope I get an interview. I'm not optimistic. I'll take it because it's all in auto desk inventor even if it's a pay cut from last year.. like a third.

We finally got to come to hoppin frog as they opened the inside last week. I am having the anejo tequila sattlerita turbo shandy.

Great stuff. Big lemon and lime vibrancy. Medium plus honey and agave sweetness. Barrel smell is stronger than taste. Slight vanilla. Light bitterness and spicy alcohol. Mild warmth. No booze. 4

Solid yet clear, dark brown body; thick, light khaki colored head, dense and creamy. Mild chocolate sweetness on the nose with a touch of roasted grain. Sweet cocoa flavor with some bitter chocolate; a suggestion of vanilla; mild to moderate hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth and silky; nice residual sugar feel.

This is a fine double milk stout, balanced and tasty.

Served at 51.8° F; label bottling info: BESTBY 06/04/21

Worked overnight, so off today. Watched the Spain-Switzerland quarterfinal, decided to open up something for the Belgium-Italy game (I'm a rooting for Belgium to take it this year). A close friend shared his latest brew, a Grodziskie made with New York State smoked wheat malt, so decided to open it. Magnificent!
