This tastes amazing. Holy crap. On par if not better than Double Stack and much more balanced that Cycle Brewings Thursday

 

Sounds awesome. I still have a can of Double Stack left that I just can't bring myself to drink knowing I won't have any more once it's gone. It's so ridiculously good

 

At Beer Study in Chapel Hill sipping on Doodle Juice, a Strawberry DIPA from Fonta Flora Brewing. Interesting but not quite in my wheelhouse. Cheers!

 

Looks nice,which lake are you at. I stayed at lake Champlain but most of vt is pretty. Enjoy the vacation

 

Pour #2 at Beer Study: Texas Rig, a DIPA from Southern Pines. A quintessential “southern” style IPA - malty with lots of resinous pine but less citrus. I like this style a lot!

 

Flame-out at 2:50pm, now we are chilling the wort…and I’m drinking a Jai Alai:



Getting ready to transfer to carboy, aerate and pitch our yeast starter,,,

While we were brewing today’s batch of brown ale, Dr. John and I racked off the mango/blackberries Mead we made 6/19/21 into a 3 gallon secondary…Bonus pic - a tasting sample:



The base is my brother’s “Orange Blossom Show Mead”; the Blackberries we harvested from his property, and the 5lbs of Mangos addiction were my suggestion… a dry Mead ringing in at 13.5%. Let’s see what 6 months will do…Cheers!

 

I’m now at Dingo Dog Brewing in Carrboro NC drinking Bark Ruffalo Hazy IPA. It’s brewed with flaked wheat which gives it a crackery backbone. Quite good! This brewery is owned by a 501(c)(3) that provides grants for no-kill animal rescue so I’m thrilled to contribute in a small way. Cheers!

Canned 5/24/21. Poured at 53° I like this DIPA, even at its advanced chronological state…



The fruits of today’s labor - on the left, 5 gallons of Moose Drool brown ale clone; on the right is 3 gallons of Mango/Backberry Mead. We originally made 6 gallons of mead and kegged the first 3 gallons as the base “Orange Blossom Show Mead”(2021). Can’t wait for Xmas to roll around - Cheers y’all!

 

Hot. That's what it is. Crazy hot. Korean, Jalapeno and Cayenne from my tiny wee garden. Waiting on the ghost peppers to turn red.. Oh, and the weather is blazing as well. Holy shite. Time for more hot weather beer! That's all there is to it. Some light advocating!
