    Nice, cooler cloudy kind of day - feels like fall is around the corner (thankfully!)

    Did another nice 2 mile hike with Emma, followed by a canoe paddle, some grocery shopping, and cooking some bbq chicken for my mom....a busy morning!

    I slept in again today…brunch beer - Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery, Athens OH - Maple Barrel Dark Apparition, an Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels that were used to age Maple Syrup:

    Bottled 2021. Purchased at the brewery 7/13/21. Poured at 58°. Maple, bourbon, chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, oak. Gooey full body. Flavors are well balanced, and it’s really not too sweet. Quite enjoyable and at 12.2% an excellent brunch beer. Cheers and have a great Sunday y’all!

    My sister in law and her husband bought their first house, so the family got together for a house warming party. This is an interesting beer.

    Nice and smooth drinking DIPA, with a nice spiciness on the tip of the tongue. Love the mango and citrus.
