I can't replace Mike's pseudo-nemesis @scream here on WBAYDN?, but Mike is good-people...he's upright, dopey, and a hoot, and he'll call 'em like he sees 'em, too...he's no slouch...bustin' balls is just an old-school way of life...honored and revered by the cognoscenti of low-life (virtual) bar-dom everywhere that such slovenly attributes are still admired and practiced...Bukowski probably wouldn't be bothered with this kind of shit...

He’s still around, I think he looks at Advocate from time to time. I’m trying to keep his spirit present this month with Joy Division October. Won’t do the scary movie countdown thing, however.

Currently reading Artic Storm Rising by Dale Brown. Tale of a Russian experimental stealth bomber, the PAK-DA loaded with armed nuclear bombs and flying it to Alaska. Only 36% in, so not sure on anything. :beers:

Off work, and now am at Republic Pi, where I'm watching the Kraken vs Vegas (it's not going well so far), eating pizza and drinking a Weihenstephaner Festbier.

That last pic from me was actually over an hour ago. Postimages didn't like Republic Pi, apparently, and refused to function there.
Anyway, I had a Brew 4,000 for dessert, and it was epic.

Now, after a quick grocery run to Trader Joe's, I'm grabbing a Perry Street Hasselhopfenbombe at the 2/7 before I head home. Might be my favorite local FH beer of 2021.

Thanks. Patrick was like a lot of the other advocates who come up with great theme days and work real hard at encouraging everybody to participate. I just try the best I can to help the days be fun and the guys being successful in reaching the goal of their ideas.

Finishing off the night with 4 Noses Perfect Drift pilsner, brought over from my mom when she was visiting recently. I love that beer and I always request it when she comes to visit or when I go to see her in Colorado.

I use GIMP all the time for my Untappd postings but I have very minimal needs and I'm a cheap-ass so I love GIMP.

I love that story so much. Thanks for sharing this.

I got to stand next to an SR71 when Intrepid was at port in NYC many years ago, and I don't imagine most people would understand the significance of that plane; I certainly didn't at the time. Years later, I would end up working in aerospace/airplane machining. While I never worked on anything as illustrious as the SR71 in my tenure there, I find myself being much more fascinated with planes these days. I always wondered why I was doing what I was doing while I was working there, doing these seemingly miniscule and unimportant tasks. And that story really captured how I felt when I saw an almost fully built Chinook helicopter cockpit in the assembly division at my work that I helped finalize with months of specialized tooling for the assembly division.
