River Horse's Dual Citizen Belgian Style Pale Ale............Very good, big on the Belgian flavors.

 

-stopped at my most local brewery earlier for a 4 of rye-DIPA and a glass of Marzen-like brew ( Tauktoberfest). Cheers!

The beer is from my local, the glassware is from my friend @BBThunderbolt. Both are awesome.

 

Spenser’s Monk’s Reserve Quad- bottle shop in Dallas. Wish I bought more!

 

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy orange with a 2 finger sticky white that leaves a ton of lace, with excellent retention. 4.25

Aroma is pineapple, mango, mandarin, apricot, and coconut. 4

Taste follows pineapple, mandarin, mango, apricot, and a pretty hefty shot of coconut in the bold finish. 4.25

Mouthfeel is pretty big, not sticky or dry, soft gentle carbonation, and 8.1% it drinks bigger in flavor for sure. 4.25

Overall I like it and I always appreciate a unique NEDIPA. Be warned you Sabro haters might not dig this one. 4 A collaboration with ferrous falcon and Outer Range.

 

We saw Orleans in Boston back in the ‘70s the opening act was Linda Ronstadt

 

Great Divide Maple Pecan Yeti Imperial Stout, 9.5% ABV. Pours black and moderately thick, with a nice three-finger medium brown head that left lots of foamy lacing. Nose is roast malt, pecan, and a hint of maple. Taste follows with roast malt dominating, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Maple increased with warming. Decent thick mouthfeel, slightly heavy carbonation, overall excellent.

Before we hunkered down as they say in these parts, we took a hike along a trail that led to Dead Neck Beach, Mashpee, Ma. Another day, another empty beach, we love it. Stay safe my fellow New Englanders.
