    I was reading pretty recently about Jerry Garcia's influences and he was completely enamored with the Beatles because they were so different from the other guys in the British invasion. The stones, The who, Kinks were more based in blues and thought the Beatles took music to another realm and so did Jerry. Cheers The Beatles....yaaaa

    ...I don't know what my first Beatles 45 was, but my actual first 45 was Mary Hopkins' "Those Were The Days" on the Apple label...and I recall a Boy Scout trip to northwest PA for a camp out and coming home with a copy of the Beatles "Hey Jude" album (I was considered an oddball by fellow scouts and the men, but so what...:grin:)...

    Just finished a half hour Kettlebell routine and smashing the rest of this great fuckin barleywine. Reminder again...if you from SoCal, lime Barleywine (Barrel Agedcor not) , familiar with El Segundo and haven't had this BA Barleywine...slap yourself

    Oh Buurman! Wat Doet U Nu?, an American Barleywine by Dutch brewery Het Uiltje (11.8%).

    This makes for a very nice American Barleywine that strikes a great balance between rich caramel and butterscotch notes, fruity citrus and berry notes and accents of floral and bitter hops, as well as sweetness and bitterness, which works out particularly well here.
