First time trying Energren, surrounded by it but i tend to not buy any European beers at all . Beers good but won't buy again. 6% alcohol is something i avoid

For the womenz,the Ever so Lovely

 

The Helles is great and I think you’ll find the Rauchbier as good or better.

 

I LOVE IT!!!!

 

They were out of hats last week though I bought enough beer to get a free mug.

Another sunny nice day here in NE OH - going to be in the 50's most all this week - crazy for mid-December!



the gf brought me back some Colombian rum in these cute little "juice boxes" - haha - my kind of juice!

 

Monday off chores done, so here's one I've neglected in my fridge for too long!

12.7 ounce bottle.
2021 Vintage.

Moderate pour yields a healthy one inch white head over a slightly hazy golden body with sticky lacing.

Nose of lots of strawberry with kiwi and citrus.

Taste mirrors nose fairly closely with much sourness from middle to a finish of sour fruit.

Very nice feel with bubbles rising nonstop from the bottom of the glass.

Overall, another fine offering from Berkeley, CA.

All this "Wooly Pig" talk has me hankering to take a trip back down there soon - was going to go this past weekend, but I was tending to my girlfriend, who had some cosmetic surgery and needed tending to....hope to get down there this weekend, or next week when I am off for Christmas - stellar beers and a very cool place!
Want to try their holiday brew.....a "rothbier" (red beer) spiced up with locally grown persimmons and holiday spice! Sounds great!

just an FYI - they usually put bottling dates on the cardboard 4 pk carriers, not on the individual bottle (which you may already be aware)
That one is a favorite!

 

I miss hanging during the week with you, but it is what it is. I have gotten pretty good at the new job and the days fly. Cheers with one of my favorites beers on earth.

 

Finback Cats Are Forever DIPA. Picked this up on a quick day trip to NYC last week, should have bought more. If Finback ever starts shipping to PA, I'm in trouble. They have far surpassed Other Half, IMO.
