    The wife: "It's 9AM. Really?"
Me: "I know, I know. A coffee stout would be more appropriate, but sometimes a guy just wants a 90 min. IPA."

Lots of great football ahead (American football, that is ), plus great beer, great snacks, and the conclusion of Dexter (Dex pre-dates Breaking Bad for me, but I'll be catching up on BB next... :stuck_out_tongue:).

All of this and more on the Autumnal Equinox! Can you feel the equinox-iness?

Oh, and happy birthday to Joan Jett...

    First post awesome as always.

Drinking a Founders Doom myself. My first barrel-aged IPA. I was a little scared to try the style, as the concept just sounded weird. This still has a good kick of hoppiness though, which I dare say fits pretty well with the bourbon in there.

Still think it doesn't need the barrel.

Some people may ask, "Why are you working so hard on a Sunday morning?"
(don't ask about the Smithsonian-like computers on the right... it's a long story)

Another amazing day tasting last night...

Started off with some fresh Pseudo Sue - kick ass

Then a smoked beer that I actually enjoyed for once

We all enjoyed this Crooked Stave number

Nice as well, but maybe just a little step down from the previous

Very solid Barleywine (Bitter?), we couldn't figure out what this actually is - except good!

Uh...yeah, this was fantastic, and worthy of all the hype.

My first 120 (2011) - Holy shit was this good. Thanks for leaving this Jared!

We threw in a Double Jack (not pictured) at the end, for good measure.

Thanks for hosting Paul - awesome night of great beers and good company
    Cheers!

Trout River Knight Slayer Imperial Stout from Vermont (USA). 9.5% ABV. Sweeter than other Impy Stouts. Less than medium body. Alcohol well-integrated and drinkable. One could get quite wasted after a couple glasses.
