I like Sam, especially after reading the book Quench your Thirst by Jim K. Just curious but what is the best by date notched on the back label? Cheers!!

Vitus with some Italian wedding soup with sausage. I don't typically describe a beer as being delicious but this Vitus really is......to me.

I bet 80 degrees feels a lot better than 25 and snow.

 

That stuff is straight-up amazing. IMO best wheat beer of any of the styles and perfect abv for me.

 

This is a wheat IPA. Phoenix are brewery called SanTan named for the part of the valley it’s in. It’s really bitter and interesting. A bit full in mouth.

Funny story, a few yrs ago we attended the fundraiser “Sunset Soirée “ my sweetheart on her first time on the summit. Bluebird sunset, anemometer was still , view 100 miles. She observes that It’s “not as bad as your pictures make it out to be”

Thanks to @JayORear I’m now drinking an Extra Vanilla Double Milkshake IPA from Tired Hands. It’s cognitive dissonance in a glass. Wow.

 

It ranges from a few months to literally 2 yrs which that stuff didn't taste very good and had to be tossed.
To me ipas get less bitter over time but old Boston lager got less malty and more bitter

 

Someone gave us a Felix the Cat clock for a wedding present. The eyes and tail moved back and forth. It was pretty neat.

 

Out and about on this beautiful day in Houston.

First up is Great Heights.

Their 610 West Coast IPA (610 being the interstate loop that is a few blocks away). Always solid.


And their Citamendous...a Double IPA with all Citra of coarse.

I've seen that moving felix,I always wanted to get one. I guess my life goals are small.
If I recall theres a park in leonia nj where the creator of felix has a bench dedicated to him by his daughter.

 

The standard line in a lot of stores is” did you find everything you were looking for?” If you say no the good ones will ask what they were missing.

 

How it drinking after 6?

I remember I drank 6 in one night and threw up as soon as I woke up. Never had it again.

 

Alesmith porter - smooth and nice chocolate notes. Good with leftover chicken pot pie.

 

The Oktoberfest. The bock. The original summerfest. The honey ale. The old ale. The red ipa it goes on and on . I could literally cry. I know a lot has changed and they don’t do those anymore but dam are there many memories around those beers
