    About a month and a half ago I got engaged. BA member BStyle messaged me and said he had a box for me for getting engaged. Both of us being busy I never had a chance to get this box until yesterday. He packed some pretty awesome stuff in there as well as this bad boy that I am having right now, Surly Wet, an epicly huge want of mine. So this goes to out to BStyle and all the other badass BAs out there.

    ...oh and the amount of delicious in this can cannot be contained. It is so so so so so so so so so sso sso sso good. Easily my favorite wet hopped beer.

    Another first-timer for me, the easily accessible La Trappe Quad. Wow, solid, solid quad! Side-by-side with a typical (Vietnamese home-cooked) dinner at my house.

    Austin Beerworks Heavy Machinery Wet Hop IPA. proper glassware to boot! Absolutely delicious. Hilarious label. Nice encapsulation of this brewery's style...

    This is a tasty Czech pilsner. No hints of diacetyl, malty but not cloying, with a nice bitterness and dry finish.

    I had a vintage 1990 of that beer this past July and it was absolutely dreadful. Nothing but diacetyl, complete drain pour.

    My fourth and final beer from these guys, and I can definitely say this is the best of them.

    I'm taking a Ferris Bueller day off from work. There wasn't anything going on, I've worked through all the major holidays that I can remember. I'm still bitter about working until 8pm on Labor Day. And I think it's an unalienable human right to call into work with "digestive distress" once a year. Nobody questions digestive distress.

    That said, it's noon-thirty/don't-care-o'-clock, rainy and freezing out, and I'm cuddled up under a blanket with a book and my pup and New Belgium Pumpkick. Nothing fancy or exciting, but satisfying and hugely fitting for this moment :slight_smile:

    First time I have this beer. But a very good alternative for 3fonteinen or cantillon. Although those are a tad better imo.

    I took probably the most important test of my life today after studying over 5 months for it. It's looking good that I passed, won't know 100% officially until Sunday but I'm about 99% sure right now.

    I was trying to drink all of the beers of fame but so many beers are replacing older ones I don't think it's worth the effort. This should have been 94 for me but now it's 91. I would have drank this one anyway.
