Raul shoots. Raul scores:
As far as salmon I agree100%. They are fed differently. I am now just figuring out other.
Time for dessert. Imprint Brewing’s Origins “Single Origin Sidamo Vanilla Bean Coffee Stout “
After a disappointing Stout I'm back to the bitter hops. Contractual Obligation never disappoints.
3 Floyds Cocomungo (BA Imperial Stout aged with toasted coconut and maple syrup after spending a year in Willett bourbon barrels). Nice coconut presence along with a great stout base that's complemented nicely with the barrel character. The base brings dark chocolate, fudge, molasses, roasted malt, some raisin, and slight plum. The barrel brings charred oak, oak tannin, bourbon, some vanillin. As it warms, the maple comes though.
I hope they continue to release barrel aged beers like this and Crushing Mass. I'll pay $23 a 4 pack all day for the quality.
Watching Spider Man Far From Home. What can I say? I’m a sucker for Marvel. About to watch the latest episode of Severance as I try to figure out what the F is happening at Lumen.
Time for a beer.
And just to reiterate. Christopher Walken is The Man.
Mike, get your ass out of here. A bottler of wine already. No one wants to hear your shit.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale one of my all time favorite beers! Waiting for maybe the last snow storm of the year to start. Cheers!
Powder Day IPA
Did they open a new facility? I took my niece to Carnegie Mellon for a college visit last summer and we had lunch at the brewery's back area. I had a Lustra on tap and it was great. A staff member said they would open a new layering facility sometime soonish. If I can fit it in, I’ll go there next week.
Some fresh Fiddlehead after just getting home from a whopper of a hike!
Bagged 3 more peaks today - The Bonds. some of the most magical terrain in NH.
No lack of mileage to see them, glorious pics in tomorrow's posts...
Sounds great. Props to the Butcher indeed.
Hamms is quite the follow-up to those two. Boys got basketball games tomorrow at 830 and 1030-unless they get snowed out. And, yes, I will be contacting Hamms customer service about that dent in the bottom left of this can...Cheers!
Picked up this sick Delirium Tremens glass today! I love official glassware. And for dinner I'm having boxed mac and cheese--appropriate because pale Belgian beers are the only type of beer I've found so far that actually pairs well with mac and cheese, imo.
Namaste friends. I am too old but not happy about this.,..
Roowaka dipa 8% - Equilibrium
Damn tasty beer. Juicy and bitter, I actually am surprised at how bitter this 1 is. Very nice. Cheers!
Did you ever get into Zwan? Saw them in the early 2000s in SF, thought they were pretty great.
Really looking forward to the pics - thanks!
Another big one! Awesome beer. Cheers!
Very late to the VB tonight and thanks for saving me a seat! Spent the evening with good friends at a new brewery barely a mile up the road from our house. Their West Coast IPA is not a stand out but it is really solid, though!
And right now / real time? Back home watching the Big Ten Tournament - Purdue / Penn State game while enjoying a Double Dale's. The first six pack I found of this stuff (had to drive to NJ to find it), it was three months old and disappointing (and reviewed it as such). However today, was fortunate to actually find it on a local shelf ... canned on 2-18-22 and whatta difference!! (Revised my review and upped my score big time.)
And everyone here knows my lack of love for Purdue. Tune:
To be honest. I’m not sure. I’ve never been to their brewery. I can say Dancing Gnome has one of the best reputation in the city though. Cinderlands and Brew Gentlemen are worth checking out as well. Cheers to your niece! Carnegie Mellon is one the finest institutions this side of America has to offer!
Second Sip pour with a Last Snow from Funky Buddha.....this was the last beer I traded with @scream.......cheers in heaven Don!!!
Sometimes you do need a 16oz CD.
From my basement tapes.
My college roommate grew up in Pittsburgh so I know it well. I’d love her to go to CM, and they gave her a nice offer, but methinks she will end up at Northeastern. Boston is a fun city to visit, but far for us. And who ever heard of a good Massachusetts beer? Oh, we'll be visiting if she goes
Just had their beer for the first time-
Ozark Beer Co. 2021 BDCS with some Ezra Brooks Bourbon on the side. Got a scratchy throat & an earache from freezing at the end of that track meet last night
Nice one. Thanks for sharing!
Sure! But not as much as their earlier stuff. I guess you could say that about a lot of bands. At least they stood the test of time and are still relevant to today. They are not still touring from an album they put out back in the 90’s rehashing the same old songs. Cheers!
Could not agree more re:C02. Thank you for your brave commentary!
Yeah the fresh Double Dales I had was fantastic
Still watching Severance. Loving it.
I’ve been told there’s a young Godzilla fan in this old live in studio recording from many decades ago but I’m not sure if I believe that. Sometimes turning up loud is a lot of fun.
Friday closer. Sleep well all.
I believe our very own @LeperJim actually designed that label for the brewery.
