Spring from MBC. Proper representation, as one would expect. Peace...
Having this excellent Maine Beer King Titus Porter while waiting on dinner to finish cooking.
Ah I'm already envious and just had that one yesterday. I can only say I love it. Enjoy!
Wish I had another to make an MBC trifecta post. Alas, I only bought a single Spring, to my current chagrin.
Oh my... I do not have the cleanest glassware currently. The photo really reveals my slack.
Ooops. Tastes great tho!
Visiting Mom in Dayton, I’ve no had this in a while. Absolutely love it.
Scumbags - glad they got caught in the act! Cameras are great, I have a few to catch crap like that.
At the Newark Airport (NJ) ready to pour an $11 can of Resin. Head'n back to Indiana and then driving to MI for a family "thing", @BigIronH - see ya in Freeland.
Courtyard, beer and book time. With the pupper as always...
Classic Saint Arnold Amber which I always really enjoy.
Moe wouldn't sit still long enough for a picture so reusing and old one ha.
Awesome, I'm now considering investing. I've heard too much excited yammering from my neighbor/buddy around the fire pit about how much he loves his new system... and now it's proved its value for certain. Also, the Jones' are meant to be kept up with, no?
The last of my Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, for now.
Jackie McLean spinning.
Miller genuine draft
Happy Thursday, WBAYDN!

Dinner prep beer - New Glarus’ Apple Ale:
Poured at 57°. Apple juice copper amber color; excellent clarity; tight white head; ok cap retention leaves small island of micro dots; thin ring; spots of lace on agitation. Apple juice nose. Taste follows, minimal sweetness with just a wee bit of sourness. Medium minus carbonation, light crisp body. Outstanding fruited ale; like drinking adult apple juice.

I typically hate hazies…but I’m into this one.
Birds Fly South Ale Project -- Bourbon Barrel Aged Wolves In The Piano
Imperial stout brewed with maple syrup
ABV: 14.0%; pouring temperature: 56 °F; canning data: unknown
Auxiliary vice: Nikka Whisky - Single Malt Miyagikyo

Opaque, black body; thin yet lasting head. Excellent roasted grain smell with some earthy sweetness; bitter chocolate and cocoa; dried white oak. Milk chocolate flavor; moderate sweetness; roasted grain, grain char and bitterness; nice booziness. Heavy body; velvety texture; wonderful residual sugar feel; semi-sweet feel.
The can states the beer was brewed with maple syrup. I didn't detect any obvious maple syrup character. I could see it impacting the nice overall sweetness of the beer. The 14% ABV is pretty well tamed. Nicely balanced and complex overall.
Love that glass!
Definitely drank my share of Pete’s Wicked Ale.
Epic Triple Barrell Big Bad Baptist 2017 cellar pull. Solid, wife loved it.
I’ll be there baby! Safe travels!
Oh that Single Malt...MMM
A fruited, sour Saison. A little more fruited and sour that it seems to be Saison. Decent nonetheless. Cheers.
pics from yesterday - tornado passed two miles from our house no electricity, etc.,
don't like KBS 8( (and all variants) ok beer to me
light flat stout with spices... (brewery stopped producing)
now drinking BA old mad joy porter Basil Hayden Barrel tasty
Detachable from Finback. This is pretty damn good, I must admit. Cheers!
Thanks - it dates back to the days when I used to drink Pete's - that's one of the beers that got me into craft.
Nah - it's not about keeping up with Joneses, it's about maintaining your own awareness so if something does happen you can go back and see it happen. They're also great for spotting when your package delivery is sent to the wrong house as well. I love mine.
Well, well @ipahunter...You inspired me!
A buddy of mine just got out of work and was excited by the opportunity to drink some fresh MBC Spring on tap (read: pick my ass up).
Alas, they ran out last night shortly after announcing yesterday.
Despite the disappointment, this very fresh, very oddly flat-looking thing is Sanctuary from Mast Landing. It's absolutely delicious and like I have my mouth on the spigot if their secondary fermenter
Nice! Question: are you more a “Get off my lawn” or “hey random stranger, here’s a free beer, let’s chat” kind of guy?
Mosaic Juice Pants ~ Maplewood

Tired Hands Double Alien Church. Wow, this is the best run of this beer I've had, which is saying a lot. Perfectly balanced with just enough bitter, supremely gulpable. I could drink this all night long.
More Foreign Extra Stouts, and Jackie McLean. Just of a slightly different variety.
Man, I hope Holler continues to make this, it is a damn good stout, and the last of it for now as well.
Hipnosis is awesome...

'Afternoon, all .
Something while waiting for the new-to-me IPAs to chill.
(Yeah, the PBR was chilled, while the IPAs were sitting on the counter. )
C'mon man! Where's mine?
Sammy , age 20+/-* , still gets impatient when it's within 2hrs of supper time, &/or he doesn't get some of what I'm having.
*Friends' rescue cat, long ago, so not sure exactly when his birthday is.

Ah, finally, the time has arrived.
Another lil' Midwest Goldfinger collab Dark Czech Lager pearl from @77apm - doing down the old Czech-hole.
Glorious day here, too, taking it outdoors to catch some late afternoon vitamin D.
Cheers be to you!
Yellow Rose IPA 6.8% - Lone Pint Brewery
Damn fine first beer of the day and it's going down oh so smoothly. Cleaned the car port out and reorganized it today. Making space for a grill/chill area. I used to have a chill spot there as a teenager to lol. I do believe 1 of the keys to life is staying a kid at heart. Cheers!
It’s fine for what it is. Not a favorite, but still enjoyable. I remember seeing it on tap in London in 2007, and the tap said “extra cold” (it was two degrees colder than what was normal or something - and back then I thought that was cool because it was all about beer being as cold as possible, right)? Anyway, I remember liking it better out of the tap in London, and oddly enough in Vancouver in 2010. Had some ok draught pours in the US, but nothing comparable to those foreign ones. I also remember bartenders pouring it straight into the glass without tilting it, then letting it sit for a minute or so, and then finishing the pour with the glass still flat. I wonder why that trend started. Oh, well. Cheers, BA:
