There are other benefits to brand selection .In about 1974 I was driving around on a July Fourth, five best friends in a '67 Plymouth Valiant. We wandered into Virginia going towards Stuart (as in Jeb) and into the mountains. We had a cooler full of Rolling Rock cans and were generally behaving. We were stopped by a deputy and he took one look at us and knew we less than dangerous. He actually said, "Rolling Rock is what I drink move on along".. I still love that guy.

Good afternoon BA's! A warm sunny low 80's day in Western NC.
Going thru my inventory of beer and forgot i bought a Thirsty Dog Christmas Ale. It is pretty solid as the adjuncts are incorporated well and hopping is adequate to balance the sweetness.
Went on a five-mile hike with a neighbor today down in the Green River Cove Area. This trail was pretty flat but did involve an ankle high stream crossing, some bush whacking, and then finally meandering thru the woods to the falls which were pretty nice, maybe 30-40 feet high.

I have! But, New Orleans is a walking city, so I actually lost pounds!

 

I will not be going as I have seen them many times, and will see them at the Jazz fest live on a big stage! But, they are havimg a 60th anniversary party at some
Theatre, and depending how everything goes I may go to that, as there will be numerous musical guests! Cheers!

Onto Beer #2 and staying in the Christmas in May mode. The Sweetwater version has a little heavier roast than Thirsty Dog with less Nutmeg and Cinnamon adjuncts so a little less flavorful overall. Both beers are solid and would have again.
