    TGIF, people!

Hop Damn from Akasha Brewing Co. in Sydney. Another old can so slightly muted to the point it's not worth reviewing. Pretty looking pineapple yellow colour, though.

Had my two-year cancer check-up today. A camera up my nose and down my throat, followed by lots of prodding and poking in my mouth, but the headline is I'm all clear and officially out of the biggest danger zone for recurrence, so yay me!

    Cheers!

Hey Az, congrats on being clean for two years. I've had some cancer tribulations myself and I'm familiar with the anxiety before you get those results back and the relief/joy when you're told what you want to hear. I've had esophageal cancer that recurred twice and I'm now in the middle of a pancreatic cancer scare. I can both feel your pain and share your joy. Congratulations and here's to many more clean years!!

I've got Foster's Ale and Lager in the fridge, but I'll save those for another time. This morning it's Sloop Fresh Pressed Juice Bomb. A little sun in the backround would make it look better

Congrats on the checkup @AzfromOz here's an obscure tune by by Kenny Loggins to celebrate with

That Fresh Pressed was really good, next up is Beer Tree Brew Juice Land, which is also tasty

I dug deep into the vault and found another Kenny Loggins tune, this time he's playing at a small venue in Philly

Fosters lager used to be my favorite beer for a little bit but once I got a horrendous headache I assumed it was from them. I like the ale as well.

Hey mate, thanks for the kind words, and best of luck with your journey. Cancer is shit, there's no two ways about it!

Thanks mate! As per @DrStiffington, there's nothing obscure about that song - it was my favourite song back in 1986!

    Thanks buddy!

Good day BAs! Thanks, @AzfromOz for starting the thread and congratulations on the negative CA diagnosis! Just don't smoke, drink, or eat and you should stay cancer free, at least in the GI track.

I think my definition for boomer would jokingly be some crotchety elderly people who just walk around miserable all day.

Idk the definition exactly but millennial is 86-2001? I vaguely remember a time before 9/11 and that kind of is the cutoff since life has been change so drastically from that

That would be me, only have the beer or two to cheer me up.

Without looking it up, early 1980s to 2000 I believe.

I was just 17 during 9/11, all I knew that we were off for difficult times. How wrong I was. It was and still is very difficult. It has always been like that anyway.

Warpigs Astral Queen from a newly released mixed 12 pack. This IIPA is the oldest with a package date 17 days before the box date. No worries, it's an old school version with plenty of bitterness and malt body to help it hold up.

Friday before a long weekend. Yay! Comes at a good time for me. Been logging extra hours after normal work hours. Brain's a little mushy at this point. Thank you @colby600 for sneaking this little beauty into your package. It's got a bit of a kick. My personal opinion (who cares right) one of our local breweries Akademia Brewing may have this beat with their Blood Orange Hoprodisiac DIPA. I wished they had canned that puppy. This is quite good though. Great way to start the weekend.

Man, can't tell you how much I've been itching to bust open this Gin Barrel Age Varonna. (and I pretty much did bust it open, dummy me. It volcanoed all over my table when opened it). I love the idea of the local ingredients in this Farmhouse Ale. Alas, I me thinks they set too high expectation on their label description. Don't get it twisted, this is an excellent Farmhouse Ale, lots of funky, sour flavor. Sour beer lovers will flip for this. But it came up short on barrel aged characteristics. Thanks @colby600! This was a fun beer to drink.

I'm drinking Ivin's Famous Lemon Shandy from Conshohocken Brewing. I'm not a big shandy guy, but for what it is, this is pretty good. Lemon and vanilla dominate the taste, which I suppose is supposed to reflect the Ivin's lemon snap cookies that the beer is based on. I rated it 3.80, which is probably my upper limit for a shandy.
