In Little Rock, stop over before meeting up with the family in at Lake of Egypt in Southern Illinois.

First stop is Lost Forty Brewing. With their classic Pale Ale, they have not had this available for a few years now, not sure why? It is just the definition of well made, and I got a few six pack for the lake. Oh and a great smoked turkey Reuben.


Then over to Rock Town Distillery for one of my favorite Gin Martini's. Pick up a bottle for my Mom and me to drink, at the lake of coarse After about a week off, restarted reading To The End of the Land. After a hectic week, should be able to finish it quickly on vacation



@ChicagoJ sorry, didn't get back to you, I think yesterday? Always the day before vacation, work just explodes ha. Anyway, the Italian Beef, was house made bread, kind of a thick Italian white bread. Tons of spices, meat juice, red peppers and red chili flakes. Plenty wet. BLT didn't try to make it a perfect Chicago style, just taking heavy inspiration. Wrapped in butcher paper.

Maybe thinking of meandering over to another bar close by my hotel...haven't been to Vino's in Little Rock in almost a decade, I think I can walk there ha..

Friday night beer. 12 % TDH TIPA.

First song when I got in the car tonight was this song from these guys’ Lollapalooza set as it was happening.

Turns out that I am perhaps irresponsible.

 

I’m legit losing brain cells from edibles. Tonight’s the last for a while. Lady at headshop is using me as a Guinea pig. If I keep switching deltas do I gain a tolerance?

 

Next one... Haunted Past.. English Mild... place is packed.. that's great for Erik.

Beer number two of vacation: Dancing Gnome, “Stained Glass Ceilings “ DIPA! I might need a vacation from my vacation!

 

Turns out, it is also a beautiful day for a bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout.

Buffalo Trace barrels to be exact.

 

I was talking with my brother and asked him exactly what DMX song he remembered.

Dinner at Killian's in Spearfish, SD.
My wife has Brussels Sprouts with an Omission Lager.
I'm eating Funk's Salmon paired with an IPA from Lupulin.



Fruitsmack TIPA - Mango Pineapple Coconut. 13.5%
I had my doubts about this TIPA because of past experiences with triples.
Fantastic taste with well hidden ABV.
A great IPA....
