    [​IMG] Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Upslope Pilsner (4.9%):     A German Pils from Colorado with flavors of lemon bread, grassy Munich malts. A bitter finish. Authentic.
    versus
    2) Prost Pilsner (4.6%): A German Pils from Colorado with flavors of lemonflower, bready yeast, and a light lemon biscuit finish. Lightly sweet. (correctly matched these blind)

    3) Big Grove Easy Eddy (6.0%): A hazy IPA from Iowa with flavors of grapefruit citrus, tangerine, with some faint herbs and pine. Slightly sweet.
    versus
    4) Remedy Strata Copter (6.5%): A hazy IPA from South Dakota with Strata for flavors of tangerine, peach, and mango. Lightly sweet.
    versus
    5) Surly Battle Vest (6.8%): A hazy IPA from Minnesota with Strata for flavors of orange, grapefruit, and tangerine. Dry. (mismatched all 3 blind)

    Winners:

    1) Prost Pils:     Both from Colorado and were excellent. Prost has a hoppy American twist, but the lemon and flowery hop flavors were delicious. Prost!

    4) Remedy Strata Copter: Really enjoyed this one. Showcased tangerine, peach, tropical berry and mango flavors. Wasn't sure what to expect from the three, but good stuff here.

    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

    Thickly cloudy body, orange and yellow colors; opaque; incredibly dense and billowy white head, long lasting and sticky. Fantastic citrus aroma; suggestion of oats. Moderate citrus flavor presence; heavy alcohol note that starts slowly and finishes strong; a touch of powder sugar sweetness. Heavy body; some alcohol burn; velvety.

    Expect some bold booziness with a quadruple India pale ale. This one certainly delivers it. The highlight is definitely the looks. The taste is the relatively low-point because the citrus and tropical fruit notes get a bit overshadowed by the ABV. Still, a nice example of an extreme IPA.

    so excited I booked a little adventure for the fam to go to Stowe, Vt on American Indigenous Peoples Day weekend in October

    my very suspicious wife thinks I book VaCations based on brewery locations, but honestly, never “really” heard of any breweries in Vermont

    ps this is a five star album

    pps…. Hope my disability leave last through October in spite of my Steve Austin capabilities !! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
