MO. A pale ale brewed by Maine Beer Company.

We just got some much needed rain although it thoroughly drenched the recycling (cans, bottles, and cardboard) I set out for tomorrow’s pickup. The guy picking it up regularly must say to himself that he has never seen so many wine bottles, beer bottles, and beer cans at any one residence!

 

When fresh, this little pale is hard to beat. Perfect snappy bitterness and dry finish. This starts the beginning of a 4 day weekend/birthday weekend so more to come. Cheers all.

You have undoubtedly seen my beer pictures and comments so you realize I have zero talent in any kind of creative film making. I will say though that it you set up something like a go fund me I would be happy to help out.

I love black IPAs, wish more breweries released these at least annually.

Question for you and Hunter - Planning my first craft beer trip out east, likely late Spring. I believe Lawson's has a contract brewer for some of their beers, but is it worth visiting the source? Going to Portland for certain, either hit Vermont / New Hampshire on same trip or a follow-up.

 

Happy National Beer Lovers Day! I decided to crack open a Flying Fish OktoberFish beer to honor this wonderful day This beer used to be an Ale but they have since switched to Czech Lager yeast and to me it's made a world of difference.

Pours from a bottle a nice amber color, generous head that lingers. Not much going on with the nose but there are some interesting malts there (I looked them up, see below). Taste is quite good and I'm actually a bit surprised, as this was a middle of the road beer for me in the past but I'm enjoying it a lot... smooth, crisp, balanced and refreshing. The 6% is not noticeable at all and this drinks much lighter. I have to give some props here and for local Oktoberfest beers, this one is up there for me so far. Budmo!

Don’t get me started on AC units (in my case heat pumps). I think I have sunken a small fortune in them over the years. I lost count on how many (five or six I think).

Here is hoping that you can get some relief soon. Trying to sleep when the indoor temperature is 87 degrees is next to impossible.

 

Excellent festbier. Faints sweet, then dries out with nice hop presence to balance it out.
