...this is what neighborhoods and community should be about...
Jazzfest in Montclair today. So far, the music has been rather indifferent, but the party is good.
...I do wish they'd get back to releasing things on vinyl, but I can't complain too much about the CD format...
Enjoying an NEIPA from Aslin, very good!
And enjoying a classic Stones tune.
I sure hope that Stone is allowed to operate independently so that they are still able to produce a few good brews like this one in spite of the acquisition.
Prairie Artisan Bourbon Barrel Aged Weekend, 14.2% ABV.
2 at a time in the big boy
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery -- Kernza® Pils
Perennial grain beer
ABV: 5.0%: pouring temperature: 42.3 ℉; SEP 2022
That is an impressive Butternut. The one I bought this morning pails in comparison.
UNO 2 , a DIPA by Omnipollo and Stigbergets.
Got it for $5 at the farmer's market. They had bigger ones, but they were split. We pay more than that at the supermarket, and they're half that size.
Stone IPA, BA!
Loving House of Dragons. Some people think it's too talky, but that was my favorite part of GoT: palace intrigue, backroom scheming, etc. The dragons are awesome, too.
Keeping my eye out for that one . . .
It happens to be our wedding anniversary. We're heading for a spa near Santa Fe and stopped for lunch in ABQ. At Steel Bender Brewyard, Blackberry Dynamite for my wife and Oktoberfiesta for me.
Marshmallow small joys by long live
I love it when a in law is like "I brought a bottle of crown and want it finished by the time I leave". I'm like shit I can help you with that. Buzzing good atm. First time drinking this and it's pretty tasty imo.
Sierra Nevada Barrel aged Narwhal
Grey Sail Pour Judgement ..
Been drinking this like water lately. Truly one of the greats, as has been asserted here many times lately.
I'm not even a big Foo Fighters fan, but this got the tears rolling . . .
Happy anniversary, and cheers to many more!
I'm on my second one today. If I drink a third you may see a crazy drunk post
Conrad Seipp's Extra Pale Pilsner as contracted by Metropolitan Brewing with a Seipp descendant. Pretty good for lawnmower, or golf beer.
1840 Brewing/BlackStack Brewing My Name is Errl hazy IIPA.
Random Swede next, this is Överstyv Lager by Wetterstadens Bryggeri. I bought this because the name, Överstyv, translates to Overly Stiff, which is, as we all know, what she said.
How about that Thundering Herd? They need to just ride these last 2 minutes out.
Point Remove Native Lager, 5.5% ABV
Got a lot of chores done despite a 90 minute power outage and 1.5" of rain. Now drinking a King State IPA (w/Nelson) by Flying Boat Brewing in St. Pete. A single shot tonight to celebrate a successful trip. Just north of Orlando on the turnpike was a 4 car wreck, about 10 minutes old, looked bad, but northbound sailed right past it.
Stroh Brewing Co. -- Stroh's
American adjunct lager
ABV: 4.5%; pouring temperature: n/a; canning info: NOV2122
...just reached out to an artist friend of ours who now lives back in her hometown of Appaloosa, MS who did a fantastic near life-sized drawing of the young Mrs. BeerGoot at about 1-2 years of age about 12-15 years ago, sitting on her mother-lap and looking adoringly into her mother's eyes...and now I'm thinking I'd like to commission another work based on a picture (as yet to be determined) based on one of my wife's pictures of Rocket the Wonder Dog...it'll be a surprise for her 68th birthday if I pull this off...the things I dream of while nursing beverages deep within the hallowed environs of the 'Fortress of Solitude'...love my solitude, love thinking about how to please the best woman in my life...
Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you retiree's have a great time!!
Fresh Hop Butcher for the World beers are available right by a beautiful beach near my dad's house!
Was at the vintage computer show with the kids all day. They had fun, and other than lunch, I didn’t spend any of my money, which was fun for me.
After a meh night's rest I'm back for more dirty bastard, and damn this is a beautiful beer. It's so balanced but the malts and hops are huge but work wonderfully together. Founders Dirty Bastard slow pours really nicely too. Absolutely beautiful.
It Was All A Dream
J. Wakefield Brewing
Based on the picture, I think he might have meant this:
Thats a very nice idea and gift. I believe you had one where rockets head was stuck in a fence, that was a good pic
Back home and have cut the lawn. Mrs. Mac is picking up Lebanese for dinner and I'm drinking the most recent batch of IPO IPA from Bull n Bear Brewery. It's a WCIPA. This batch seems more smoky and bitter than previous batches. Cheers!
...no...the actual Northern lights...reddish...I saw them when I crawled out of my basement apartment out of Waynesboro to pick up a pizza at the local Pizza Hut...the lights were dancing in the sky...I called up my friend working at Site-R, PA to see if he could break out of the mountain to also see the lights...he and I have always had a thing for night skies and, unfortunately, his duties couldn't let him out...but they were definitely a rare southern latitude display of the Northern lights...truly fantastic...
