[IMG] Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Lupulin Oktoberfest (5.7%): A Märzen from Minnesota with flavors of baked bread, orange citrus, and a toasty and lightly bitter finish.
    versus
    2) Portage Seasons Change (6.4%): A Märzen from Minnesota with flavors of baked bread malt, some citrus, smooth caramel. Leans sweet.
    versus
    3) 3 Sheeps Oktoberfest (5.5%): A Märzen from Wisconsin for flavors of toasted bread malt, toasted caramel, and a brown sugar sweetness off the end. Flavorful.

    4) Eagle Park Heart it Races (8.0% canned 8/11/22): A NEIPA from Wisconsin with Mosaic Cryo and a wheat malt body for flavors of tropical melon, berries, guava rind. A full, slightly grainy finish from the wheat.
    versus
    5) Phase 3 DDH Low Ceiling (7.8% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with DDH of Citra and Mosaic for flavors of ripe grapefruit, orange, melon, and berries. Tropical and juicy.
(Mismatched #2 and #3 blind, the rest correctly identified)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    3) 3 Sheeps Oktoberfest
: So far my favorite Märzen of the season and somewhat saddened each time a finish one and have one less. Incredibly flavorful. Have not come across a Märzen that packed in so much flavor. Trying to savor this one.

    5) Phase 3 DDH Low Ceilings: Not enough good things to say about this one. A superb balance of Citra and Mosaic. It has ripe citrus and tropical notes. Flavorful, and drinkable. I've come to expect nothing less than top quality haze from Phase 3.

That's a beer I've been wanting to try for years. I loved Stone's smoked porter back in the day.

I kinda knew a beer break would be our undoing... Logging work finished for the day.

Nothing too special, just your avg IPA, but tasting pretty great after some legit manual labor.

Just finished a nice walk, last day of baseball. I won't be following the 12 team NFL/NBA/NHL style playoffs.

This brewery gets me, and I get their beers.

Good afternoon, advocates. Getting into some Sip of Sunshine before I make this transition out west. I'm guessing it's probably not readily available in California. No idea, tbh. Didn't look, don't really care. There's plenty of great options where I'm headed, and I'm thankful. Cheers!

Really liked this one when I first tried it last year, so I’m glad to see it again. It also has Strata, which I thought that I didn’t like. Kern River Wet Exit:[IMG]

We drove 9+ hours down to North Carolina today to prepare for our son's wedding on Saturday. Mrs. Mac packed for every contingency. She could have planned the D-Day invasion. I just finished unloading, unpacking, and walking Chambo. Time for a beer! Cheers from Chapel Hill, NC.
