Hosting gobble-gobble dinner tomorrow, most guests are not craft beer drinkers so I bought a 15 pk of Founder's Solid Gold for all the Busch Light fans. I really enjoyed this, a very likable beer!

I tried a flight and found some very good beers - now watching the Cup and drinking “Czar of the South”, a BBA Imperial Stout:

Strong boozy bourbon nose. Chocolate with bourbon and oak, especially as beer warms. Well done. Cheers y’all!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve BA's! Gorgeous sunny 60-degree day here in Western NC. Been freakin cold here the last week or two so definitely a nice change of pace.
Being lazy this year as i just picked up a pre-made dinner from a very good local restaurant - looking forward to just heating the food up and watching some NFL games and drinking good beer and wine tomorrow.
Round one today is a 2020 Samichlaus Classic. A strong sweet doppelbock that is a tad too unbalanced for my tastes. Oh well, fun to try once.
    Cheers!

    Wednesday greetings BA's!

This is the Winter beer I look forward too every year. Highland Brewing Cold Mountain 5.9% abv. An excellent combo of maltiness, nuttiness and spicy notes. Love this seasonal offering from Highland!

Been freakishly cold the last two weeks here in N.GA too. The 65 degree day today has been a welcome reprieve. Still too early for those kind of temps even for this time of year for me!

I opened up over at my parents' place it's so nice out. Not at all what I expected flying in given how dreary the last few Thanksgivings have been up here. Going to be leisurely walk in Ault Park weather tomorrow.

“Home” now out on the back porch overlooking the woods, and beyond, the 13th tee box…63°, tons of blooming flowers and yet fall leaves colors in the trees…fabulous…drinking Galaxy Banger, a Hazy IPA from the brewery visit yesterday, Savage Craft Ale Works, Columbia SC:

DH with Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic. Great tasting melon, papaya, peach and tangerine. I love Galaxy hops! And get a load of the sick artwork on the glass I bought at the brewery. Cheers gang from Taylors, SC!

Tons of running around on such a gorgeous day. Pulled out one of the beers brewers said "They would drink forever" in @Amendm 's thread. Several great beers on that list. Also my last Oktoberfest on hand, it was a fun season once again.

    Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier

Two from the annual Thanksgiving Eve tradition of watching "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", which turned into drinking on "Amateur Night" as an adult. Hope you all stay safe this evening if you are going out with friends or family.

    Cheers!

That's why they call it Cold Mountain LOL! Glad you are enjoying it. A friend in my tasting group last year snagged some CM variants (Imperial, Spiced, Coconut). The Coconut was not much different from regular CM; but the Imperial and Spiced were nicely done. Contemplated going to the brewery recently to try the BA version but did not make it up there.
    Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Kinda bummed my wife’s family members all, well not all, but several got the flu and had to cancel Thanksgiving out in PA. Had a lot of beers lined up with my BILs over the next few days. At any rate, enjoying beer by the fire pit at home to tonight. Carton Alien Cookies hemp DIPA. Cheers!

    look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Clear, dark brown body; excellent carbonation; thick, frothy and semi-creamy, light khaki colored head, lasting. Fine scent of medium roasted grain; slight vanilla undercurrent. Light cocoa flavor with a touch of vanilla; lightly sweet; hickory nut; very mild bitterness. Medium-light body; smooth and silky; lightly sweet mouthfeel highlighted with some dark grain warmth.

All around, a nice beer. To me, this seems more like a brown ale or, perhaps, a dark English mild. The impact of the taste and mouthfeel seem a bit weak for a porter but fit nicely in the other two beer categories. Regardless, this is a pleasant drinker and quite satisfying overall.

    ...thanks, Micah...
