I'm kind of like - if you got the flu (which could also be Covid), thanks for letting me know and please stay home. Last thing I need would be the flu or Covid, even though it kind of sucks that they can't be there.
Folks are posting some excellent beers this evening. @budsNpils - I'll join you for a virtual bowl later this evening if you're up for it
A Sam Winter Lager with my sandwich / dinner - had a big mid-day meal at my mom's place.....right outta the bottle!
Brooklyn Black Ops. a 11.5 Bourbon Barrel aged RIS from a 16OZ can. Awesome brew and at $15.99 a 4 pack a good deal.
KBS Hazelnut. I think this might actually be the first time I've had this variant.
I was really craving a Maple Mackinac Fudge but the store on the ride home was out. This isn't nearly as indulgent as the MMF but I am getting my chocolate fix and the hazelnut aroma is quite nice. Cheers!
Had a nasty cold the last couple of days, coming out of it with some Celebration. Will drink a fair amount of this tomorrow, too.
I’m ready for aerobics… 1984, one of the tunes in the routine.. don’t laugh
At Rusty Rail for date night.
Miskatonic re worked the recipe for another of their early releases. Ingenue is now a Belgian style farmhouse ale at 6.3%, which is pretty high, but it is dangerously hidden, a good thing.
You gotta own your space,,, well done!

West coast pilsner
ABV: 5.7%; pouring temperature: 45 °F; canning info: 10.18.22

Pale, clear, light yellow body; sparse carbonation; incredibly huge, rocky, white head; thick and long lasting; sticky. Dank smelling; some floral and tropical fruit notes, too. Light biscuit-like malt base; subtle esters commingling with a light to moderate hop bitterness; lemon grass. Medium body; soft and pillowy; well-rounded dryness with a nice, soft residual sugar presence.
An incredibly balanced and flavorful pilsner that seems to meld the hoppy profile of classic west coast India pale ales with the easy taste and feel of a light pilsner.
These guys are playing at Urban Artifact next Friday. Hoping to go see the show, but it's been a tough sell to mrs. meanmutt...even though Urban Artifact is her favorite brewery...
My sister in law fell down the stairs with laundry and broke her shoulder. So on short notice we are having Thanksgiving here tomorrow with 15 people. We had already planned a 2nd version for Friday with 7 people, and that's still on also. Hey, I'm not complaining. No need to drive, get to have my music on, bigger selection of leftovers etc..
Boy, I wish I could send the smell of this pour to you.
That’s a bummer, but the pit looks glorious!
Of course I’m glad they told us. Would’ve been impossible anyway since my FIL had to go to the hospital. But yeah, flu tests positive. We were going out to PA to hang out, which is always fun, as they live on Lake Wallenpaupack. My own side of the family had a pre-Thanksgiving night last weekend, so that was fun.
Please don't tell me that's a fresh batch . . .
The most beergootian head ever. I need Duvel to even get 20% of that one. Cheers Dave.
Moved over to Temperate Habits, this is Fresh Hoptimism Rye IPA.
Nope. Still the competition batch. I’d let you know if a new one was in the works. I do need a Rolodex update on your address for such emergencies
Well tbh that isn’t what I thought that was going to pour out of that can, but it’s been a funny old day
I've never been, but I watched the episode of Poured in PA earlier today. Now I feel like I need to visit.
A new on from my local as I start my long weekend. Enjoy the holiday!
Some just desserts before the show
In the Zen Buddhist tradition of "eeeehhhh, what the hell?!" - joining in on some afternoon/evening fun.
Cracked another of these Breakside DDH IPA. This is a tasty little pounder with no pretensions; whether or not the DDH makes a huge difference, I couldn't care less. But those aromas of pine forest, green hops, weed, and just a tad of cat pee lurking in the background? Priceless.
Let's do this! Have a great evening....
Now THAT is a welcome curve-ball! Nice shot...

A Düsseldorf specialty, an Altbier is a German-style Brown Ale. The word alt literally translates to "old" in German, and traditionally Altbiers are conditioned for a longer than normal periods of time. Other sources note that "alt" is derived from the Latin word "altus," which means "high" and refers to the rising yeast. Take your pick, but the extended conditioning mellows out this ale's fruitiness and produces an exceptionally smooth, clean, and delicate brew. Its color ranges from amber to dark brown, carbonation is moderate, and while known to express the slightly spicy, herbal character of Noble hops, the key word here is balance. A stronger version brewed less frequently, "Sticke Alt" is a maltier and hoppier take on the Altbier.
Poured into a stange , the pour produces a clear copper brown liquid with a fluffy two finger off white foam cap
Aroma is malty, earthy , hint of spice
Taste us earthy, malty , slight bitter snap on the finish
Sudsy, light mouthfeel
I got a taste of Friday's release. The Maple infused variant of Miskatonic's rye barrel aged 12% imperial stout, Bell Witch. Nice maple aroma and flavor, but where's the booze? That's trouble!
Logyard is your local?!? It's amazing where people can live these days!
Wolverine Red at Temperate Habits. Is OK, too much roast for a red.
We are both enjoying this one.
…decided to mow the lawn one last time. haven’t watered since mid-august. happy for the dogs the yard is thriving. two years ago it was dirt/a mess back here. the little things. salud BAs! xoxo!!

another beer share with my wife… “it’s more bitter than Sundays,,,,
Lol it’s a DIPA for my Prosecco gal. Listening to my music school daughter tear it up on the trumpet home from college. It’s great.
Long distance dedication to our resident Professor @eppCOS
Sending Chuy off in style!

Sticking with Carton but moved inside. DDH CST3 DIPA. Cheers!
Brasserie de la Senne - Taras Boulba
This is seriously bitter and very enjoyable.
Starting the Thanksgiving weekend with a cellar pull. 2016 The Abyss aged in Scotch barrels. Hoping everyone has a great and safe weekend!
Wednesday beer #2 is fire.
